I was thinking of installing the stock ZO6 cans on my '08... I have headers and catted x pipe...did you find a increase in performance with your set-up? I don't think the MOD will change any thing but sound...

Yes the sound is much better when you are in the open mode, do it, next best thing to having ZR1 mufflers

you cant tell any difference in performance, its strictly a noise mod lol, but stock z06 bimode are still pretty quite just wanna bump em up a lil bit

I would do it, my mechanic has done quite a few around the San Antonio area and it does make the Z sound lots better and more cost effective than getting ZR1 mufflers or B&B Fuzions for an even better sound

Yes it is more noticable in both areas and worth the mod, my mechanic charges approx $350 to do this and includes installed

I have a Coupe that had base exhaust, I almost pulled the trigger on the NPP, louder than the Z06 mufflers but not as loud as the ZR1s so I purchased an entire ZR1 exhaust setup and now I have the best factory mufflers GM makes and the modded Z06 mufflers would be my next choice as they are lounder than NPP if I had not run into the ZR1 setup

Most definately if you have a pre 2011 Z06!!

Does make it louder and it sounds Good!! I did it myself to my 08 Z06 when I added Header and a cam. It cost me about $50 bucks for the band clamps and less than a $100 to have the mufflers welded back up. Then a can of Flat Black Hi Temp black paint.

I replaced the '07 Z mufflers with '12 mufflers- to me it was surely worth it and then some!!!

I love the sound. Its perfect. For the money, you cant beat it. I spent $50 and did most of it myself.
