Once my work contract is finished in April, my wife and I are off on a 1 month road trip from Eastern Canada to Key West, stopping at many interesting places on the way down, and on the way home. Some areas that we will visit on the trip are: Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket in MA, Kitty Hawk and Hilton Head NC, St Simonds Island GA, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Florida City and Key West FL. I'm sure we will see places that will tweak our interest, and spend a day or two at. We will stop at a PGA tour event at TPC Sawgrass during that trip.
The round trip will put approx 5000 miles on the clock...but hey...I'm not saving the mileage for the next guy...I'm selfish
It will be a great time, We did a similar tour last summer in the northern US.

These cars are a great highway cruiser. They are a joy to travel and tour in.

Gonna be a great summer!!!!
Planning to go to Lime Rock as well for the ALMS, was also hoping to do the corral and the parade lap, how early do you have to arrive to get in the parade lap?, I think they open @ 7:00 A.M. if I am not mistaken.

Regarding travel, I am hoping for a trip to Bowling Green to see the NCM in late summer/early fall and then trek over to Myrtle beach for a while to stay a week or so, then head back to CT.

Last year we got there at 8:15 and missed the cut for the first 50 cars. This year I'm thinking 7am.

"Where will your Corvette take you this summer?"

Actually, I haul the Corvette around on a trailer. Then, my Corvette takes me round and round the road courses.

In Arizona we race all year long but our racing season slows down in the heat of the summer (mostly early morning and night racing only in July and August). Maybe this summer I'll travel to cooler climates and run at Laguna Seca, Infineon, Miller or somewhere else. It would be fun...there are some world-class tracks I'd love to drive.

That sounds great! Someday I would love to do that with a Corvette.
I will be doing it with my soon-to-be track only sportbike.
