Gonna take several trips to Panama City FL. Bout an hour from the house. Not much driving, plenty of sitting in traffic, looking at girls. Great seafood places, comfy bars, girls in bikinis. Beautiful beaches, packed nightclubs. Oh yea, did I mention the girls?

June 1st me and the GF will be going to Bar Harbor Maine and Acadia National park,by way of the 1000 Islands,Lake Placid and through the Appalachian Mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire and spending a night at Turning Stone Casino on the way home. Numerous day trips planned...Corning Glass tour,Watkins Glen State Park,Letchworth State Park. Also going to the AMLS race at Lime Rock CT. in the Corvette Coral(maybe this year I will get there early enough to go on the parade lap). In August going to "Night Under Fire" Drags at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio. Then possibly Corvettes at Carlisle in PA.

From Connecticut to Valley Forge, Pa, Littleton, NC,Bluffton, SC, Beaufort, SC, Savanna, Ga, Nashville, Tn, Memphis, Tn, St. Louis, Mo, Cleveland, Oh, Intercourse, PA and Home. Car loaded and ready to go. Just had it serviced and oil changed. Backed out of garage and then had a flat front tire.

Switched to my wife's Volvo S80. Bummer.

When I get back have to see what I can do about new skins. Was going to change them after this trip.

If anyone wants a really cool drive in AZ,try U.S.191,it used to be called 666. I know why ! Its between Clifton and Alpine and Alpine is just south of Springerville-Eagar.Of course, you may see signs of our 500,000 acre fire we had last year. Very pretty and many, many turns.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I just found this route on a web site we book marked called AZ scenic roads. The above mentioned route is call the Coronado Trail National Scenic Byway.

Lots of cruising around and short trips in the summer.

Then toward the end, one of them will take my wife and me to Eureka Springs vette fest and back.

And the other one, I'll drive to, run it in, and drove home from, the Texas Mile.

Just doing short local cruises this spring/summer, but we're going to Bristol to see the races in late August(~1600 miles RT) and then at the end of September, we're going to Niagara Falls, cruise around upstate NY and Vermont and then drop down to Cass WV and ride the steam powered logging railroad in the mountains(~3500 miles RT).

Haven't made up my mind yet, but thinking about driving down to Daytona for a Hooked on Driving event and drive the Rolex 24 course in December( two hours of driving, hitting 150 MPH+ on the high banked 31 degree turns on the Speedway, and 170+ down the front straight, before braking hard to do the infield course).

Might do a short leg of the Hot Rod Power Tour when it rolls through town heading for Oklahoma. Probably drive the '64 for that short trip.

Oh, and that's in my 09 Z06, at 70 years of age. Gotta git 'er done while I can.

Absolutely a beautiful drive. I've done it, but not in the Vette.

Do the Vettes 4 vets. It's a great weekend event and driving on the track is a mind blowing experience. Jeff said he getting close to having the event fully registered, so don't waste any time registering.

Doing the norm.which is taking in some of the must do list compiled by forum member "GS Diva" here in the Northeast. The best of the best here is "Spring Fling" at the Anheuser Busch plant in NH., Corvette day Larz Anderson Automotive Museum, and Paul Masse's Corvettes by the Sea in Kingstown RI. Harbor Hopping along the coastal roads of Maine.

Lots of day-trips with the Club, a trip to CA for a wedding, and some wandering around the Black Hills and Devil's Tower.

Retirement is great!

We tried to get to Alpine last year, but the fire was still going strong at the time. Will try again, next time through there.
