18k on my stock GY supercar tires..
2011 GS.. with all the reports that these tires wear out like crazy, im still rolling with them, however I just received my Nitto INVO's today. Going to still use the GY's until they wear out. Still have plenty of tread left. Burnout time.

What kind of driving do you do? Hghway, city, drive to work, weekend only? Do you track or autocross?
I drive mine daily and am looking for longevity tips.

Just curious if you ever touched the alignment or not? I can see my fronts lasting 18k since they have around 7k with 6/32ds left to go, rears had 6/32s but just found a wear problem with the outboard part of the tread leaving 4/32ds left.

never touched alignment..straight stock from dealership. i would be curious to see exactly how much tread i have left though, but just looking at the tires i see no noticeable uneven wear.

So what if you've still got some tread? You've got new tires. Install 'em!
At 18k miles I thought my GY supercar tires still had good tread left.
Then I measured the tread depth. IIRC, only .3 on the front & .5 on the rears (.2 is definitely time for replacement).
I probably could've eeked out another few months on the stock front tires. But replaced all 4 tires anyway. Glad I did, no regrets.
Beware of body damage...
...or clutch damage.

I got 43,800+ miles on fronts and rears were still good.

Well, I agree with all thats been said regarding wear.
I changed mine @ 16,000 with HALF of the tread remaining....just could not stand the noise and rough ride. I have a much smoother and quieter ride now w/ the Michelin a/s

There are no A/S tires that fit the Grand Sport or Z06.

In most cases, but obviously not all, as phileagles and I have noted, our cars don't necessarily hold an alignment for very long. This has been said by two different sources and may be accurate for only our individual cars, but I don't think so. This, despite the tire size and car weight difference betw. my base car and the GS/Z cars.

I don't believe for one second the tires wear out as fast as people claim they do - my GS, now at 10K, has about 65+% left, I'll probably get 25-30K out of the tires
glad to hear you're reporting the same thing, the frequent "you need an alignment bc you have a Corvette and GY tires are made of marshmallow" comments on this forum were making me think my odometer was off

ohmy.............my tires on front were bald on the inside at 15 thousand miles.nearly out of tread on back.from the outside in....i never raced the car on a track and air pressure is always correct........what tires did you have on your o8?good luck with the new g.s..........put nitto invos on today.........smoother ride for sure.j.k.

I have two sets of wheels for my car, my original GY Supercars were on until 11,000 miles, and then were put back on at 34,000, the car now has 41,000, so that's 18,000 miles, still has tread, but not the sort of tread I would trust in a rainstorm, in fact about 4,000 miles ago I hydroplaned in a rainstorm and nearly crashed.
The wheels I bought had 15K on according to the seller, and I put on 23k, so that's 38K on the GY GS2 (base vette tire)
the wear I have noticed with the Supercars is that it appears I ran the back underinflated, and there is a small amount of wear on the front inside, never been aligned.

On label on door it specifys 30 PSI but tire shop and alignment tech recommended 35 PSI all around.
