I’ll likely buy a new car to drive across the northern states, unsure whether I’ll be able to tolerate the trip, but this is my last chance. If I can’t make it I’ll leave the car to be shipped and fly home. I hope GM comes out with real incentives in May that apply to me and I’ll do it in a new Vette, if not I’ll be in a Cayman S.

I am in agreement with all of the above. I don't have "family", a "wife" (anymore - LOL), or "kids or children"...... SO, the 'Vette would be number one for fun!
I also agree with, and live by, "Always have at least some fun every single day!"

I would be doing exactly what I'm doing right now. Driving it every single day...because it could be the last

"I voluntarily took 60 days off from OT"
I dont have to necessarily be driving my Vette(s) to enjoy them....There have been times when it's too nasty to drive them that I simply drag up a lawn chair in the garage, sit back and admire the fruits of my labor

Have IPS motorsports put a superchager on then drive to florida to live the margaritaville life for a year.
Then when the time comes, put a drink in my hand and my beach chair halfway in the water. Thats how I'm going out.

I'd ignore the Vette...I got me a list of "people" I need to deal with....I'd go visiting and invite them to join me in the other world..........

I'd trade up on a Corvette I really can't afford, like a ZR1. Then I'd tour the country, all 4 points of the compass. If I keep moving fast, the repo guys will never catch me!!

If a doctor told me that I only had a year to live, I'd probably grab a gun and shoot myself on the spot to keep from prolonging the agony that the next person who owned my Corvette would believe that it was insane to treat them like precious objects, wouldn't care about the slightest scratch and would probably be out driving the darn thing every day. Uhhhhhhh.......NEXT QUESTION!!

First and foremost...Doc are you going to charge me for that info?
I have dealt with lots of low-life scumbags in my life....I'm running out of places to hide all the bodies. Would hunt for some of the others that were successful in escaping my search as I drove the vette around the country "like I stole it". I would live the remaining time FAST AND FURIOUS...only sleeping enough to keep going. I would be a bad boy to the end. I would try to get 36 hours out of every 24 hours.
I have had a successful life..traveled throughout the world. Pacific Coast Highway in California or the Caymans or US Virgin Islands in the Caribbean would be a great place to end it. Would leave this Earth with no regrets.
And in the end my wife would know how I would want the obituary to read: " I was born...I lived...I died. If we were fortunte enough to cross paths in life and you liked me...GREAT...if not... you can kiss my dead *** good bye!"
My thoughts: "If you're moving..you're living and if you're sitting...you're dying. Live Love and Dance today... there is no guarantee of tomorrow!"
Peace

I would throw away any and all washing/waxing/ cleaning stuff, gut it out completely use all my remaining cash to buy sets of tarmac and dirt tires/wheels, and drive the crap out of it on every dirt/gravel road I know of and at every track day available with no regard to wear/damage.

I'm "one of those guys" that try to keep my car from damage while driving it as much as possible, but there are way more important things in life than driving my vette. I already get to do that anyway!
