I did a forum search for "2009 headlights" and read through the first 5 pages of responses, but nothing helpful.

Has anyone else noticed this issue? Vehicle is kept under cover in garage 90% of the time. Only have about 10K miles. I don't use any kind of "polish" on the headlights, just regular washing. I haven't brought it to the dealer yet to file a factory warranty claim.

Getting a picture seems to be impossible. The inclusions look like they are on the inside of the plexi and can only be seen with the headlights on (or some other form of backlight).

take it in for warranty replacement. thousands have had this issue.

We call it crazing, I had mine replaced under warranty for it several years ago.
Take it to the dealer, if they don't offer to replace it, then take it higher with GM customer service. Mine had to have a district manager come take a look and approved replacement.

Calling the dealer in the morning. Do you think they will just give me the lights to replace them myself? I don't trust the service department. I had it all happen... screwdriver in back pocket when getting in vehicle, grease / brake dust / grime all over the door pulls, steering wheel, etc. This was in other vehicles. Luckily I've never let them have at my Z06.

if they cover it under warranty they will want to do the replacement to make sure it is covered.

suggest you try a different dealer. too bad ross downing isn't close by.

I wish they were. They are about 100 miles away. I bought the car there, but they are too far to go for "simple" service. I really enjoyed my overall experience with them... from sales, to managers, to meeting the service folks.

I'll see what I can work out with the local dealer.
