Default New Carpet change in my Convertible

I'm sick of my black work shoes getting my cashmere carpet dirty so I plan on changing the carpet in my car to black. I found some ebony carpet from a 2008 coupe but does anybody know if this will fit my "passenger" area of the car? How about my trunk, is the carpet charcoal or black?

I may purchase a ebony console/lid so the black color flows better in the cockpit. I'll also buy another set of Lloyds black floor mats. What do you guys think of my proposal?

Why not just get some ebony Lloyds mats? That dark spots are on your mats anyways and the aftermarket mats are cheaper and can be taken out and cleaned when needed.

I seem to mark up the sides of the tunnel area and I would like to update the car. I prefer a black interior so it seems like a simple change

In that case, the carpet from any C6 should fit with no problems.

That's a good point, I wonder if the coupe carpet will fit behind the seat of my convertible?

I'm also looking to get a leather wrapped steering wheel, shift ****/boot, ebrake handle/boot, and console lid.

If there was a cheap way to get black leather trim for my seats I'd be all over it!

Find Vert carpet and it is a no brainer.

I would go black too, definitely get a vert carpet though not a coupe.
I would probably go two tone on the center console lid, ebony in the middle and then the cashmere on the sides. You can get that from DS Vettes.

What do you guys think about changing my console base to ebony?

Another option is Lloyds mats that are berber; a mix of cashmere and ebony that hides dirt a lot better than all cashmere. Or, as others have mentioned, simply get ebony floor mats.

You could just change out of your work shoes before getting into the car and put the work shoes in the trunk. Would be a lot cheaper, easier and the cashmere interior really looks great on the car the way it is. I would have preferred cashmere instead of ebony on my car but I would certainly not go through the expense or want to possibly take a hit on resale because the interior has been modded.

Changing the carpet should be pretty simple. I pulled all my carpet to add sound proofing. I also have cashmere, but I just use ebony Lloyds mats. Much easier to keep clean and change when needed.

I also went with a 2 tone console.

I only go for the black interior myself. Given your situation, I would jusy put black mats in and live with it (as has been suggested) or trade the car for another car with black interior to avoid the checkerboard look from some leftover cashmere parts.

NO WAY. That looks like dog duty (my opinion, you asked). Just get some black mats and be done with it if you can't change your dirty shoes. alot less expensive.

I plan on buying black carpet and going this route like Rayzzz. I bet anybody that would purchase my car down the road would never know I did this conversion.
