Best buy on transparent roof panel

I'd start by contacting Gene Culley. In the past he has run specials at $1099 although he may not be offering them at that price now. Historically, though, Gene has usually been the one to beat pricewise.

If you are patient, then just keep checking the for sale section. Post ads asking for a clear top. The big problem is the shipping cost and getting the roof panel undamaged. I bought mine for 800 with hardware off a brand new car, but I think he paid close to 200 to ship it.

I have one from a 2008 . I think its the same but maybe someone can.confirm. I actually might even be headed your way next weekend on some business so if its a fit maybe we can make a deal. Asking 850 for it. It's in perfect shape.

You can email Chris at cstorie@sdparts.com. He seems to have the hot prices lately. Also can try Gene at Gmpartswarehouse. They will have decent shipping prices and you can be assured they will be packaged properly and no issues

Just be careful if you are buying a roof panel that has to be shipped. There are lots of nightmare stories on here about transparent tops damaged during shipment...even ones that were packaged well. It can end up in an insurance claim nightmare...

I got a perfect unit used too from a forum member for $700. If you find a local pick-up then you can inspect it. I found one for sale in a different state that I happened to be traveling through and picked it up.

Also, a significant number of tops develop small cracks coming up from the side weatherstripping (usually passenger side), or crazing. The older the top, the more likely to have a problem. But some go bad within a few months.
I would only buy a used top if i could personally inspect it in bright sunlight, then put it in my trunk and drive it home.
