Default Question Regarding Tints

I just got a quote for my 2009 C6 coupe...the guy told me the back window, because of its unique shape, would cost me $200, then $55 for each of the front windows...so $300 total. Then he explained it's usually more expensive to tint Corvette windows...can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!

The guy told me it's one piece and they take care of the dots too...he said we've done a few Corvettes so they know what they're doing.

$200 for the back window here also. Make sure you have someone that has done a vette before and is willing to "slice" the upper section with a double layer so you don't get see the dots. My guy was a pro, the entire window is BLACK.. well worth the extra to get this particular window done right.

Car looks great with the dark tint. Getting mine done this spring and am looking at 15 or 17% all around. What % is on yours?

Most good tinters will cut a solid black piece of vinyl with adhesive on one side and use it over the dots. If you use regular tint you will see white around all the dots because the tint won't stick around them. I wouldn't let them sand the dots and scratch the glass. If you've got a good tinter he will know how to do it. The secret is to ask first instead of being unhappy later.
