Default Full Car Paint Protection- Done

I'm pretty happy with it and can see the utmost importance an experienced can make in a quality install. A friend came over tonight and couldn't see it, until I pointed it out.

Before:

In Process:

Thom has more pictures. I just kept poking in to check on the progress.

The only thing not covered were the stripes and the rear bumber. As this will be my DD I feel much better knowing I went this route.

I only had the ***** and funds to cover the front end! He had to have numerous cuts in the material to cover all of the protruding shapes, ...

Nonetheless, you'll fare better than most of us when following a dump truck or jackass who gets into the shoulder and throws rocks!!! Congrats ... looks great!

Other than the fact that this will save one from minor dings, what is the point? Do you plan on trading it in for something else in the near future even though its a daily driver?

The first thing that comes to mind when I see this is a plastic covered couch that you can't fully enjoy.

On a more serious note, expensive?

Looks like a well done application but I've never heard of anyone Saran-wrapping their entire car before. It'll eliminate 90% of the dings and it's bound to cut-down on having to wax the car. I hope it's everything you hoped it would be.

No plans to trade it in. As far as not fully enjoying it, I feel exactly the opposite. Now I can drive it anywhere, park it anywhere without having to worry about it. I would rather wrap the whole car, vs having to keep touching up the paint.

Carbon Flash is not something I feel will can be matched well, without some serious blending later on or clearing the whole car. Repairs never look as good as factory.

I've seen JSB cars repaired and don't want to go that route.

Thom can provide pricing info I'm sure if you PM him. I will let you know that I paid only $1K more than my dealer wanted for the front bumper and partial hood and fenders, which also came in a kit.

I also like the fact that I no longer have to worry about swirl marks or people wiping dust into the paint. Peace of mind at the price I paid was well worth it to me.

I've seen a few Gallardos and F430's done. Why not a Vette?

I have mentioned before on this forum that I have had my bumper, hood and front fenders done. Unless I mention it to someone, no one can even see it, unlike the plastic couch covers some are referring to. Since it is very difficult, if not impossible to match Blade Silver, I did not want to be touching up any dings. Bottom line.... if it's done by a pro no one can see it and it gives me peace of mind. So other than the cost ($1000 for mine), there is no down side at all.

Actually, yes. My GF has a problem with it sometimes when I redo a few things she did I felt weren't done right, but its also been a plus in business for me.

I have posted about clear film protection many times...am a huge fan. Curious if your installer talked about using a plotter (machine-cut sheets)??

I wrapped everything except the doors and rear bumper.
