$300. Paid it online today. I think the pictures alone were worth the cost of the ticket.

And I learned something interesting..... $300 is the maximum speeding fine in TX. I could have been going 170 mph and the fine would have been the same. And one of the officers told me they don't take you to jail for speeding alone, even for 170 mph. Now, if you were racing someone, or something else besides just speeding, or if your attitude stinks, they'll find a reason to take you in.
Boy not on the east coast that will get your license yanked in a heart beat depending on cop PLUS a must appear court appearance.

In GA, 20 MPH over will get a "Super Speeder" fine tacked on top of the normal fine. My 24 year old son got a ticket on the interstate doing 75 in a 55...the total ticket along with the Speeder fine was $425

People in ATL drive over 20 MPH just as a matter of course (and survival), but you get outside Metro ATL and do 20 over you better have your check book ready.

Also, any ticket over 85 Mph is subject to the Super Speeder law....so if you're in a 70 MPH Zone on the Interstate, doing 15 over at 85 you will get a ticket around $375......Welcome to GA Y'all.

No disrespect intended but they all look like they could benefit from a little exercise.

It goes one of two ways, before rush hour if you are doing below 70 on the beltway (55 sl) then you will get ran over. At rush hour... well imagine a winston cup race going about as fast as a power wheels vette and there you go.

Then the supervisor asked me to text him the picture.......

We will see. This is my only ticket on my record........ If it goes up, it goes up. No big deal.....

Nice! Them being so nice about everything kinda takes the sting out of getting the ticket a little, I'll bet.

Nice pic....my ticket in MA (104 in a 65) cost me over $500 for the ticket and over $8,000 in insurance surcharges over the years....

It must have went up. I was presented with several for $297.46 on a mortocycle in El Paso. Once one Sherrif was nice and dropped the speed down to 104 in a 60 zone.

20 over does not constitute a Super Speeder ticket in GA. It's over 75 on a 2 lane highway and over 85 on any road or highway. If he got a Super Speeder ticket for 75 he was not on on Interstate.

40-6-189. Classification as super speeder; fees; funding for trauma care system.

(a) As used in this Code section, the term "department" means the Department of Driver Services.

(b) In addition to any other fines or penalties imposed by any local jurisdiction or the department, the department shall administer and collect a fee of $200.00 from any driver who is convicted of driving at a speed of 85 miles per hour or more on any road or highway or 75 miles per hour or more on any two-lane road or highway, as defined in Code Section 40-6-187. Such a driver, upon conviction, shall be classified as a "super speeder."

In California you can do 80 all day. Over 80 and they might pull you over. 90 and they will pull you over. Ask me how I know.

LOL oh i know, folsom area? When drive to tahoe its 80 the whole way through all the foothills, out of California's crazy laws and what not, we sure can speed here and get away with it mostly, i can't recall when i have driven below 80mph in my commuter or my torch red C5Z. THey sure are linnet but i swear if you drive anywhere past 85 you done. But none the less, all speed limits in the bay area are 65 ( i can't recall any 70mph ones) so i feel doing almost 20 over and never getting pulled over is great! But then again almost everyone drives 80.

Now it would never be a 300$ ticket, thats where it hurts.

I recently went to ohio and couldn't believe everyone drove like 65 in an 70! i was scared to even drive the speed limit.

Cops don't have to run as much these days. They just have to be quick drawing their TASER. It's hard to run with 40,000 volts disrupting your motor skills.
