If my goal was to win drag races, then the GT-R is the car I'd want to have.
For everything else though, I'll take the Corvette.
The GT-R still looks like an appliance to me, albeit a bad-azz one.

Corvettes had been out of the UK market from 2009 until last summer when Chevrolet reentered the market. There must be some difference though. GM advertises sub-4 second times for the Grand Sport auto in the US. If 4.8 seconds is the standard in the UK, something must be different.

I don't think so. They don't call the GTR Godzilla for nothing. Doesn't matter what you think of the style, it's a beast.

It's true the Vette's getting old. The competition has leaped ahead in 7 or so years C6 been in production. I think in order to stay competitive next base Vette should be at least 500HP , Z06 650HP and ZR1 around 800HP given that their respective weights would stay the same.

Blah........Blah.........Blah..........
Only thing I ask is why not the ZR1?
Because the UK loves to hate American cars and couldn't have one win.
The GTR is the ugliest car since the Gremlin.

Could the bias and BS be more clear? They did not even bother washing the car when showing it.

Everyone knows the GTR can blow these two other cars out of the water, so it's really just a vette vs jag comparison. The deck was stacked to hammer the vette.
A half mile run instead of quarter mile favours the higher horsepower car once high speeds are reached, all else equal. Versus the jag, the lighter weight vette looks like it gets off the line quicker, but at 100mph+ the higher powered Jag can push air out of the way better. Plus the GS vert has higher CD than a coupe, so they should pit coupe vs coupe if they really give a ****. And what about handling & breaking is that important in the UK or do they just drive until they smash into something? If so, they should have crash tested the cars.
Finally, the vette had the sh1tty side of the track, you can see some tire smoke as it goes over a bump in the track and loses grip
