Manly corvette exhaust sound..........
Help with noisy exhaust (wanted)
Steve Wall told me on another net that.............
"A buddy of mine installed some sort of inexpensive gizmo that prevents the
valves from fully closing in the dual-mode exhaust. He said it's adjustable
to allow you to set how far the valves do or do not close. He ended up
settling on leaving his propped just slightly open all the time, and he's
satisfied with that sound. If you're on the Corvette Forum as well, his
handle is AORoads, and he usually haunts the C6 forums."
I lost my mind an just got a 2012 GS a month or so ago and am looking for some easy (read cheap) way to make this new toy sound more like a manly vette.
Had a 66 coupe with sidepipes and that's the sound I'd like to have.
Any ideas?

Advanced
NPP/Z06 Mild Adjustable Control Kit, $24.99 plus $7.50 shipping, from LEEA Customs Inc. Took 10 minutes to install becasue I have big hands. Leave the valves open 1/4"--that seems to be perfect.

Melting Slicks
The device that keeps them from fully closing is a clamp-collar, which when installed limits the retraction arm/red's motion. As the previous poster mentioned Southern May have these, but others do as well ...
