I have an '05 vert Z51 mn6 and I put on SLP powerflo muffs. My only complaint is they are a little too quiet. There is a SLIGHT drone around 15-1700 but I have made several 1600 mile trips and I usually have the radio off to listen to the pipes...sweet.

Drone?
Thanks for chiming in with the Automatic !
I'm leaning towards the Corsa Sports for my 06 A6 Z51, after all the feedback.
But I read over and over that the Automatics are more prone to drone.
So I'm glad to actually hear from another AUTO.
90% sure Corsa Sports !

The term NPP is the GM RPO code for the factory dual mode exhaust which was an option starting on the 2008 models. The system has two butterfly valves and the tailpipes which open up around 3000rpm to provide a more muscular sound.
A lot of us then buy the aftermarket M2W (Mild 2 Wild) controller which allows us to manually open or close the valves at our discretion. We can open the exhaust fully if we want a loud, muscular tone, or we can close it when our wives are in the car etc...
There are some really good clips on YouTube if you're still unfamiliar with it. It's a great system for the C6. Love it! It truly is the best of both worlds.

The Corsa Sports are very nice. I have driven well over 100,000 miles with them & I have zero problems with them.

Santa Claus just brought me an axle-back Borla Atak system for my 06. The *new* Borla designs claim no drone, even on the most aggressive Atak series (whereas the old models did have drone).
I guess I will find out in a few months when I install. Either way, it won't sound like a powder puff anymore.

Granted my engine is built, but this will give you an idea of the difference between open and closed valves.
