Default 30 k service

My 05 has just reached 30,000 miles. i have had oil changed every 5000 miles nothing else.
Dealer recomended several flushes along with my 30k oil change. I am concerned these are only $ toilet flushes. What other services would you guys add to my normal oil change?

I would also have the brake fluid and clutch fluid (if a manual tranny) flushed/replaced. The OM says the coolant s/b changed at 5 yrs or 100K mi's,
so the time element for that seems to have arrived.

You should be able to go longer on the rear diff. fluid and transmission fluid (if an automatic) despite the 5-yr mark. Both have a 100K mi's change
recommendation. Maybe you can wait until 50K mi's for those...others here may have a different opinion ?

Follow the owners manual. NOT the dealer recommendations! The dealer just wants your $$ Also follow the oil life monitor. No benefit to change oil every 5,000 miles. Wait until the remaining oil life get's to about 5%. Or 1 year whichever comes first.

I agree with all of that except that if you have an auto, I'd suggest that you go ahead and have that fluid changed. 50K for a manual tranny and the diff will be just fine.
