Really not a big fan of the OEM shift **** on my C6. Lets see some pictures and comments on your after market shifters and shift *****.

I have the "Grand Sport" round **** being sold by several of our forum vendors. Lowers the overall height and makes shifting smoother. My **** is black with yellow stripes and the shift pattern is in yellow too. The mounting is identical to the factory system so no adapters are needed.

Not very dramatic I know but I went with a genuine leather-trimmed factory-style **** from DS Vettes. It looks great and feels even better. The boot is stitched leather from DS Vettes as well.

I went with the DS Vette two-tone leather covered ****. Mine's an AT, but you can get the general idea anyway.

can't show you a pic but imagine the hurst-style black cue ball (but without stripes of GS type or "hurst" on the side). very good size, not too large and it lowers the overall height of the shifter about 1" plus a tad more. that means, it effectively reduces the distance between shifts while still keeping the shift effort approximately the same.

I'm still on the stock shifter but I swapped to a carbon fiber shift ball to better match the 08+ center console finish.

Default Personal preference

I like my GS shifter and ***. It surprises me there are so many after market replacements--but whatever you like....

Incidently, some one gave me a 1957-8 original standard shift Corvette while ****. Anyone interested????

I'd actually asked MGW if they made that or their other shift **** for a standard C6 shifter, NC. they said no and had no plans to do so. oh well, so much for one buyer....

Oh, you mean put that **** on an OEM shifter. No that won't work. Get the MGW shifter. You will love it.

MGW has two different shafts for their shifters. One accepts the standard OEM Corvette shift know. The other one is threaded and accepts this ****.

I have both so I can change back to the OEM **** if I feel like it.
