Default Exhaust Plate

Looking for a good quality exhaust plate for my LS3. Don't want a cheap one and don't want to pay $300 for it either. Anybody know which CF dealers might have them.

Thanks,
Doug

Try a google search or look at CF vendors. You get what you pay for.

Just want to make sure I get one that is good quality, thick metal and won't rattle. Little help needed here too.

Thanks,
Doug

Check this guy's old posts out. You can get them in black or stainless if he is still making them. I bought one, good quality and Dennis is great to deal with.

Try RPI, Mid America Motorworks. Badboy Vettes, West Coast Corvettes
and Southern Car Parts.

I like it, but it looks like that was a one time sale from him.

I've noticed a lot of them bounce around a lot -- when driving behind one with my headlights on, it constantly "flashes" as the light reflects off the wobbling exhaust plate -- I guess thicker is better?.

If your looking for an exhaust filler plate that looks OEM, you should check out forum member jost6453. He makes an excellent exhaust plate, no rattles, fit tight without gaps around the diffuser, and around NPP exhaust as well. Easy insall and a blank one give you the option to attach any logo you desire. You wont be disappointed. Not over priced, reasonable. You gotta check him out if your looking for an exhaust filler plate...IMO Good luck in your search.

I don't know if you have found what you're looking for, but I have this exhaust/muffler plate that I had to take off when I changed mufflers. As far as I know, this one will only fit if you have the original/factory mufflers (or smaller). It is made from billet aluminum and it pretty thick and "beefy", It does not vibrate at all. I paid roughly $225.00 or so when I bought in back in '05 (?), but I would sell it for $75.00 now only because I have no use for it anymore. It is in great condition still today. The flag is just an "overlay" and can easily be removed to expose the original C6 emblem if you prefer.

Thanks for the offer but, can't tell from the picture the polish on the unit. I am looking for a chrome finish to match the license plate frame which is chromed over brass. I will keep this in mind as it looks very nice.

Thanks,
Doug

If this helps...

this was (obviously) taken when it was on the car. It is roughly 3/16" thick. You won't find one more sturdy that looks this good. Look at some of the retail sites that sell this for a better description. If you don't want it, that's OK too because I do like the way it looks hanging in the garage.

One of the forum vendors, Pinnacle Corvette, sells a carbon fiber piece that works with the stock muffler setup. I paid $74.99 for mine. It's shipped to you in a blank so it will be up to you to add the cross flags emblems or something else.

I didn't something different and installed my college Alma mater emblem to the plate. The premise is that if you want something not expensive but looks nice, Pinnacle Corvette has a pretty good one at a reasonable asking price.

This is mine. It's just the cross flags and it looks like it is floating (matte black over the steel support arm). The light spot you see below the flag is not the filler plate, it's just reflections in the pic. I got it on fleebay.

I have this plate on my 06 vert and love it. It looks great and does not wobble or rattle. Easy to install too.

How many pairs of C6 flags do you really want on the back of your car?
