Default Breathless performance or supervette rear diffuser on narrow bodied vette

Anyone installed or have a pic of this diffuser on a narrow bodied C6, really like the look but, i'm afraid of the diffuser being huge without the wide fenders

Thanks

IMHO I don't think it will look right without the widebody, sorry.

Default The diffuser looks great !

My friend Jade installed the Glover Designs diffuser on her 2008 C6 in black. The diffuser was painted flat black with a satin clear coat at Bertolucci Body Shop here in Sacramento. It looks very cool and certainly stands out in a crowd.

Color me funny, but you may as well hang a open parachute off the back of the car with that attached.

You can cut through the wind as clean as possible on the front of the car, but if the air at the back of the car becomes a huge void area that the air can not flow back into to fill without a great deal of turbulence (think TR-7), then the clean aerodynamics you tried to gain up front is completely lost by increasing filling air turbulence resistance drag at the back of the car.

Hate to say it, but between the ZR-1 spoiler, and the breathless diffuser, you just crippled the top end speed of the car by a good 10mph or more by increasing the dead air void on the back of the car that the stock diffuser fills in a lot more cleanly.

I ordered the APR one. Less sometime is better than more.

My suggestion to you is to keep your stock diffuser on your car then. The post asked what the diffuser looked like on a stock body so I showed that. This is a street ride not a track car, so its more about the look for me. If I was concerned with top speed I would have spent my money supercharging first. Obviously it will look cooler in a few weeks when I add my extreme ZR1 fenders. FYI, its not a ZR1 spoiler either. BTW, you must be wrong about the "parchute" effect too, because my 1/4 mile times didnt drop any after the diffuser/spoiler install. I think that it would probably affect top speed some, but not enough to worry about, considering that I have too many speeding tickets as it is, and no where that I can stretch the car out (legally) anyway.. That being said, I've still hit 165 mph with it and it was still climbing
