122 mph trap speed in stock LS3 C6?
I'm looking to purchase a C6 in the next few weeks, and am deciding between the LS2 and LS3 cars (based on price). The 1/4 mile database lists a stock C6 (2010 A6) trapping 122.05mph bone stock, is this actually possible, or some sort of "error"? That seems 4-7mph faster than everyone else in 08+, and a whole lot faster than the LS2's...

According to the owner of that car he had a significant tailwind that night at the track, and that, combined with the excellent -DA at Cecil the evening of 2-25-2011 at 7:30 p.m. ...his LS3 was making well above the SAE rated 430/436 HP. He was quite suprised by the trap MPH as well....review his post #5051 in the Fast List for his commentary and insight.
Dragtimes reports the conditions of that track on the date of the run as:
Density Altitude: -896 feet
Relative Density: 102.65 %
Combine that with your tailwind and you'll get your 122 MPH trap

The difference between an LS2 and an LS3 is about 30rwhp...if speaking purely of power. And will be about .2-.3 quicker in the 1/4 mile
It takes very little to make up that difference.
If there are other factors you like more about the LS3 car, then that's where the decision should come down to LS2/LS3.
