Default Pure Gas, No Ethanol!

I did a search, and couldn't find this, so sorry for a duplicate thread.

This site has information on stations that have no ethanol in their gas.
It is getting harder to find pure gas these days. Hope this helps, or you can add to the list.

Nice find!

Fortunately I'm out in the country, largest city under EPA mandate {spit} is 60 miles away; so, garbage-free fuel is available for anyone willing to pay the dime (or more) additional expense.

They used to prosecute the station owners who put alcochol into the gas tanks to maximize the profits. It is legal now cause the big companies do it. It's the same to me or is it? Is it too late to bring our Country back to a corporate non-steal mode? I was instrumental in regulating the pawn industry in Florida by making the pawnbrokers cleaning up the act. Why can't we expect the same from Washington? Sorry to hijack the thread, couldn't help myself. Still hopeful, Greg.

Most of it, including ethanol in gas, is allowed by government regulation. Where have you been the last few years?

the use of 10% ethanol gasoline is mandated in some U.S. states and cities.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethanol_fuel

Congress has required refiners to blend 36 billion gallons of biofuels, mostly ethanol, into auto fuel by 2022, up from 12 billion gallons this year. The goal is to reduce America's dependence on foreign oil and reduce fossil fuel emissions tied to global warming.

Thanks, there is a station only 2 miles from my house. now the question is, is no name 90 Octane gas better than brand name 91/92 octane with ethanol... Since it may not have as good an additive package??

Guys?

Presidentialpawn is angry because he knows this:
Congress has required refiners to blend 36 billion gallons of biofuels,. . . . The goal is to reduce America's dependence on foreign oil and reduce fossil fuel emissions tied to global warming.

I couldn't care less if the gas has 10% ethanol or 20% ethanol or 30% ethanol as long as my car is making the power.

Guys?
Try it and find out. Use your DD for the test first!

You could ask at the station they know what company gas their getting.

My Z06 can sure tell the difference between good gas and that ethanol added crap. Now by law all gas up here is that diluted ch*t! (That includes gas sold at Marinas, they do have additional things added but it’s still got ethanol in it!)

It cuts power and mileage. If you’re using small gas equipment it causes lots of problems there also.

I’m not referring to that 85% ethanol fuel that’s a totally different subject, those cars are designed and computer adjusted to work well with that stuff

I couldn't care less if the gas has - - ethanol.
Couldn't care less about a fedgov boondoggle that wastes tax dollars, food crops, water resources, and costs more in petroleum fuel to produce than it replaces.
And all because some short-sighted racers crank their injecter duty cycle way up to flood in an inferior fuel, calling that "making power"

I have one station in my town that appears to be selling the 93. Only problem....it's a Citgo and it's run by a bunch of mid easterns, which means the gas is coming from Venezuela and the pumps will problably not work.

Would you PLEASE tell me where that is, I live in snow country NY and have a plow on truck? I have had 3 different station owners tell me it’s against NY law to sell real gas except at airports (For planes only) I live on a lake and even Marina stations get ethanol tainted gas, but they do put in other additives!

All automotive fuel gasoline in my state must have 10% ethanol. This is to reduce winter air pollution ( of which there is almost none...it exists mostly in the minds of the liberals that run this state ) . Now, it it in the gas all year long. So, no ethanol free gasoline in this state.

Discussions of the "collector" value of this or that model, combination of options, or "special" C6 always omit one important thing. Fuel for these cars may be totally unavailable in the several decades it would take for them to become collector worthy.

I'm old enough to recall the elimination of leaded gasoline. It happened almost overnight with people like me who owned several 396 and 302 first gen Camaros, hunting all over the state to find higher octane leaded gas. Eventually, there was none to be found as it became illegal to sell.

So there you go.

What I dont understand is why they added the ethanol which makes less power, and then kept the octane levels the same. If it was 100 octane then there would be some useful tradeoff, but as it stands we are getting screwed both ways.

Those above are reasonably close to try, I get that way I will stop in!

I have checked out a lot in the past on the "pure-gas.or" and found that site is mostly way out of date and every reasonably close place I called no longer sold real gas.

Pure-gas.org says there are 126 stations that sell ethanol-free gas in Oregon, and I personally saw one of them in Tillimook this past August (but my tank was full at that time).

Oh My Gawd . .
Um...I didn't say any of that I agree that ethanol as a fuel source is ridiculous (not quite as ridiculous as, I'm assuming, a grown man using the phrase "Oh My Gawd" though)

The gas I have has 10% ethanol in it. I can't change that.

What I said is that I don't care whether the station I stop at has 10% ethanol or not as long as the car is making the power. As far as I know, all of the top guys in the 1/4 mile list are running 10% ethanol in their cars To worry about finding gas that doesn't have the 10% blend is ridiculous.

In Houston I don't think we have had "pure" gas in probably 10 years. We've had 10% ethanol for a LOOOONG time.
