3LT or 4LT

I got to sit in a 2011 GS 4LT at the state fair and I really liked the leather wrap look and stitching. However, due to the extra cost, I had planned on ordering 3LT in mine. But, I wanted two-tone and when I saw the 2012 two-tone treatment, I did not like the center color going all the way to the top of the seats. That was disappointing.
Thankfully, when I went down to order my 2012 GS, I learned I could get an extra $3,000 off as a current Corvette owner. So, I chose 4LT and told myself I was getting if for "free." LOL
Cyber Gray, Comp Gray, Silver Hash, Dk Titanium/Ebony
My car is due to be delivered 12/06/2011 and I only recently learned the interior would be Alcantara & Leather. I thought all leather. Oh well, my wife's 370Z has Alcantara and I think I will enjoy it just fine!!

Just a suggestion for anyone considering the 4LT.... Forget the Heritage Package for $2500 or what ever it is. All it includes is fender stripes, Choice of two tone seats (already comes with 4LT) and embroidered seat head rest which also already comes with 4LT. Huge rip off from GM.
I'm not arguing whether it is an option that makes sense, only trying to inject a little reality into the comparison. ALso, I don't believe it is possible to get the Grand Sport logo on the seat backs any other way. For $400 you can buy the stripes separately, of course.

I really like the idea of a Callaway GS, however, I really dislike the bulge in the hood. Now that Edelbrock e-Force is available and you can keep your stock hood, any chance Callaway will follow suit?????? Chris????

When we were about to buy a 2009 or 2010, we looked at the 4LT and decided against it.
To us, it looked a little better but not a huge difference.
More importantly, the colors used in the 4LT did not look as good to our eye as the more basic 3LT colors. That may have changed by now.

I think if your going top shelf (i.e. ZR-1), you should go all the way, and that would not be the 4LT interior but one from a top shelf aftermarket supplier. GM's 4LT is a rip-off for what you get.

It isn't a rip off as the dash/doors are expensive to replace anyway. I had a 4LT in my 08, 3LT in my 11 GS Vert and really don't miss the 4LT though. Shifter/ebrake areas on the 4LT are poor quality anyway. It definitely doesn't look right for a $50k car and not even close if you are buying a Z06/ZR1. The boots are real thin and cheap.

If you don't mind the price, then of course it's better!
I personally have a 1lt base, I haven't seen a 4lt interior yet but I'm sure I'll have a little envy. I don't care about navigation, I DISLIKE hud, dislike heated seats, don't care about passenger power seat, but the leather dash and door panels must be sweet!
