Did you buy a new black halo? If so how much did you pay? And from whom?
I'd like to do this but, not by myself. I'd want someone with skill set there...to make sure I don't screw it up!

I bought a used halo from a part out for $150 shipped. I have one paint quote for $160. I haven't costed out the replacement seals / weatherstripping but I'm figuring maybe $50. Total cost should be about $350ish.
I plan on taking it apart and replacing it myself this winter. You can save yourself $150 if you use your current part, but I like to keep my stock parts just in case.

Very easy to change out using the instructions posted above. Took me maybe all of 90 minutes to do. I went with CF wrap from forum Vendor Empire Corvettes.
You will need (1) piece of weatherstrip that is just a stick-on piece along the rear edge. About $45 from your local Chevy dealer of $35 plus shipping online. GM part number is 15250758. You can see it in this first picture below. It is the piece between the rear of the halo and the front edge of the hatch glass.
Did A-pillars too.

Changing the Halo is about a 1 1/2 hour job all in. I did mine about 6 weeks ago and put a black take-off on. I love it!
Don't hesitate to tackle this project with the instructions from post #2...
