Default Time to say good-bye to my 2005 Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic vert

Well,,, Very sad time in my life as having to say good-bye to the 2005 DSOM vert on 11/19/2011. I had owned the car for 4 years, 5 months, 26 days (1640 days). For the most part this car was trouble free (battery, clutch MC, top micro switch).

This car brought me many more pleasure than troubles. I met SO MANY new friends and some really close buddies. I enjoyed making the car my own with custom mods.

I am not sure if it's in my life cards to ever get another one but I surely enjoyed owning this car (3rd vette) and have many memories. I have no doubt that I will miss this car (I know it's just a car).. NOT!!

I decided to take some "last pictures" of the car before the new owner came to inspect/purchase the car this past Saturday. Please enjoy the pcitures..

I hope to check in on the forum every once in a while.... Take care and Peace out!!!

Sorry to see you have to let it go. DSOM is one of my favorite colors for a C6. Best of luck getting back in a Vette asap.

Hey Tim.....you know I'm kinda partial to orange.
You can always be a co-pilot for Gary or Steve, and come down and see us.
Here's hoping you can get another one soon.

Oh yeah....get a hair cut.

That's a gorgeous and obviously well taken care of car. It sounds like a sad parting indeed. For all the joy and happiness the Corvette brought I hope there's another one in your future. Never say never...keep a good thought! Stay in-touch with the forum and I wish you all the best!

Tim:

We are all sad to see your beautiful Corvette go. You've made lots of friends and owning a Corvette is not a requirement for friendship.
I went 30 years between my Corvettes, 1974 - 2004. It will never get out of your blood.

It sure is one beautiful looking Vette with all the right touches. Too bad you have to let it go, but such is life.

It was nice meeting you at this years Pontiac Club show in Maumelle, even if I didn't get the word on the resturant trip after the show.

That's a beautiful car and the new owner will surely enjoy it.

I hope you told the new owner to check in on the forum!!

I had an '05 DSOM coupe, but my bro-in-law now owns it, so I get to visit it and drive it.

And I replaced it with a DSOM Z06, so I still have that great color to drive!!!

It looked like the wife wasn't too happy to see it going, so maybe you'll get another Vette before too long.

Thanks for the kind words Wayne! I know it was sold for the right reasons (does not make it any easier that it is gone)....your right - never say never...

Thanks wolfdogs for the compliments!! The tag said it all for my vette. It was cleaner underneath as much as anywhere else... My friends thought I was nuts having it on jack stands the night before a show and cleaning the under belly... I was caught rolling around on a creeper on several late nights to get prepared for a show...

Tim, sucks that you have to part with your car, I know how much you love that thing. I agree with the above, doesn't mean you can't stay on the forum and offer opinions and post more pics of car shows you might attend. Wouldn't be the same without you on here man. I hope everything works out ok. You have my email, stay in touch buddy.
