Any of you have insurance through the museum? I responded to their invitation to get a quote and looks as though I can save nearly 50% annually from my current premium, albeit with a 3000 annual mile limit. (There are other options, I just picked this one because that's about all I put on my C6 these days)
Sounds almost too good to be true, but since it's being offered under the auspices of the Corvette Museum I would think they would have vetted it before allowing the carrier to claim the association.

So Far, So Good
Adam Boca is great to work with at NCM. The 3k mile/agreed value plan meets my needs perfectly. The only thing I don't know and DON'T want to find out from personal experience, is what it's like when you have a claim. May someone else can tell us.

Im on the 6000 mile program myself. No claim experience but I do know the actual company (American Modern Insurance) that does the underwriting is "A+" rated.

Melting Slicks
I am guessing that NCM and Adam are acting as the Agent. Any issues that come up will be handles by the insurance Company and probably not the Museum. If the company is A+, thats a good start. I guess I would want to know what the Policy says on Parts. Do they want to use Aftermarket or will the allow OEM without an arguement. I know there are several good companies that let you add a very low cost endorsement that gives you the right to demand OEM Parts.. I would also ask them how do they handle claims. Over the phone, do they have a Staff Adjuster for your area or would they use an Independent Adjuster. These are just points I would like to know before I go with any Insurance Company... Good Luck...

FWIW, my State Farm policy allows aftermarket parts. Over the last 30 years we've had a few claims, both on tin cars and, unfortuantely, twice on Corvettes. I always told the body shop I wanted OEM parts, was shown the packaging to confirm OEM, and State Farm never mentioned the issue to me.
Not sure if they were being nice to me, or only use aftermarket parts if there is a problem obtaining OEM.

Called them yesterday. I have my Cobra roadster with American Modern so was aware of the details.
Net the limitation are the same for the vette per the ins brokerage[Adam's folks]. No taking it to work, store etc. Car cannot be out of your sight. No 6000 mile option for an 11GS. Works great for the Cobra but impractical for my use of the Vette.
Oh their price is $200/year more than Erie Ins who has no restrictions just normal auto ins. Again it works great on a 300-500 mile/yr uber toy but not the vette.
