C6 and the l.a. Auto show
I went to preview night at the L.A. Auto Show last night with 3 friends...all of us bigtime car people. I am on my 10th Vette, a 2010 GS vert 4LT. There were 2 Vettes at the show. A 2012 ZR1 fully equipped and a 2012 GS Vert Chevy 100th Anniversary Edition with the new seats. We saw almost every car at the show and agreed on one thing...the C6 interior is the biggest joke on the planet when it comes to sports cars. The cheap grainy leather and vinyl. The cheap plastic ***** and nav screen, the cheesy steering wheel, the poor use of materials and colors...EVERYTHING! We saw cars that listed, fully equipped for under 30K that had much nicer interiors. We saw Porsche Caymans and Boxters, Lotus Evoras, Asian cars, Bimmers, Caddys, new nissan Z's. All with wonderful well planned interiors. We sat in all of these cars and the feeling was so much better than sitting in the C6.
All I can say is that the C7 had better come up with a world class interior or it will be a major disappointment. Incidentally, the new Camaro ZL1 vert in cyber grey was on display...it was stunning!

And yet you have bought 10 Vettes with the cheap, joke of an interior.

I don't find anything wrong with my interior either. I try to look out the windshield most of the time I'm in my vette, or in my rearview mirror if want to see other vehicles.

Hardly Complainers!
Those who observe that the Corvette interiors are not what they should be are not complainers. If you drive or ride in other cars it is hard not to notice the difference. I have the 4LT and the leather dash makes the leather seats look like cheap vinyl. How much extra would it cost to use better thicker leather on the seating surface?

Most people that get in my car comment on how great of an interior it is!!
Almost no one said that about my SL600 I just sold. Give me the Vette any day.

I don't have an argument with those who want a better interior than what comes in a Vette; however, I do remain curious why:
(1) You buy a Vette if you don't like it.
(2) You don't upgrade the interior if you bought it and don't like it.
Just curious.
For $50-100K, and the performance, I'm not sure why the complaints or don't buy nit or fix it.
My buddies Maserati's interior looks like crap and its the same age as my C6. It looked great new but aged poorly.

Just to set the record straight, I have loved every one of my 10 Vettes. But that does not mean that there is not room for improvement in any area. I just don't care for the cheap interior including the cheap non supportive seats. Gosh, I guess I should appoligize for deeply offending some of you. Keep in mind athat almost every riview of the C6 mentions that the interior and seats are a major problem. So it's just not me.

GM loves people who won't ask for better.....thus why the car is now well behind the competition in materials and build quality.
And for those still raising the (you can't touch the Corvettes performance for xxxx $) comments.......well yes you can. In fact GM has 2 cars in the lineup that offer better materials, more room, and very close in performance: CTS-V sedan and coupe.
Not to mention the Mustangs of the world upping their game.....
I love Corvettes have now owned 2 C6's but there is a reason I haven't bothered to look at or consider a newer C6, very little progression in the 8-9 years of this generation. (other then speed)
