NPP is money well spent on options, as opposed to something worthless like Nav.
I like flexibility and NPP let's you be loud when you want and quiet when you want. You'll find appropriate times for both.
I've been considering adding headers for more sound (and HP of course) to my NPP. Anyone set it up similar?

NPP is almost a no-brainer. The majority of C6 owners on this forum like the sound and flexibility that NPP mufflers offer. Look...even if you don't like it, you can take the mufflers off and sell them for close to what they cost you...and your car will still have all the vacuum lines and programming built-in if you decide to go with a louder dual-mode system like the B&B Fusion.
After you have installed dual-mode exhaust on a C6 that did NOT come from the factory with the NPP option, you quickly realize that $1,195 is a friggin' bargain!!!

If you don't mind the process of buying and installing an aftermarket exhaust, I don't think it is worth it. I bought my Corsa Sport exhaust brand new for $1245, only $100 more then NPP from the factory. There are plenty of website dealers that have Corsas for that price. IMO the sound is much better then NPP. If I were you I would get the Corsa, or at least do some more research. Find someone with NPP and go for a drive, and then find someone with either Corsa Sport or Extreme and go for a ride. Then you will have your answer. Best of luck

Not worth it for me
It came on my 08. I bought the M2W and installed it.
After 3 weeks, I took the M2W out and it sits in my garage.
The loudness I can do without. And the 6 horsepower gain is
less than 2% over the stock engine.
It's your money, your decision.

Wow, many strong positives for the NPP. i did not order it on my 2012 GS, my plan is to install a Corsa Sport with X-pipe. I just thought that would make mine a little more unique, and most Corsa Sport owners who have posted here have been very positive too. I'm slightly worried they might be too loud, but not worried enough to get the Touring.

Looks like I'm the contrarian here, but I don't want extra moving parts that will eventually rattle, malfunction, leak or otherwise go bad when it produces only 6hp at almost $200 per hp. Sorry, but it's a bad value IMO.

so your saying you going to leave your car stock, or are you going to spend nearly double for a shiny new system that yields approx the same 6 hp, but now your interior panels will buzz in your ear full time. to each his own!

I just bought 2012 GS Centennial and I kick myself for missing that option when ordering it. Now I am trying to buy one......so. get it now why you have the option. Oh. They will only charge you 700 extra if you are willing to negotiate.

if nothing else, it adds variety to the vehicle and if you are creative and havent yet figured out your place of choice for the switch, like me, you get in the habit of taking it well over 3500 rpm as much as possible...love it

Had it on my '08 and just got it again last week when I took delivery on a 2012 GS Vert. Works automatically, but get "mild to wild" with remote triggers to be able to open it manually by remote for a "throatier" exhaust note.

Pretty much every forum vendor sells it and may have a link to instructions. I got my car from Tommy at MacMulkin Chevrolet, and he installed it himself for me in a few minutes.
It just plugs into the fuse box in place of the existing fuse so you can open/close the exhaust at will. You get a tiny remote control fob to operate it, but if you have the factory sunvisor with home link, it can be programmed to operate it.
FYI, there are a few other different items available that do the same thing, such as the "dead pedal switch" to operate with your left foot, and the "man ****" which is a button on the shifter if you have a manual trans.
All these items are discussed, and offered for sale, on an almost daily basis on the forum. Search and you will find.
