Real Men & Carlisle Blue Corvettes
Do "Real Men" drive Carlisle Blue Corvettes ?
Although Carlisle Blue is a lighter color blue
and maybe looks a little more feminine,
I was just curious if you would consider buying
a Carlisle Blue Corvette.
Since this is suppose to be a one year color,
I have found 2 Carlisle Blue Corvettes that I
kinda like. The first one is a Base Model with
2 LT with Nav, HUD, and Chrome Wheels. The
other is a Grand Sport with 3 LT loaded.
Just curious ...... and .... having some fun.
Thanks for your input (:

Just my opinion, but, uh, no they don't.
Personally I don't like the color. My dealer had a Tahoe in Carlisle Blue and even my wife made a (disparaging) comment. Probably looks good on a Cruze though.
Someone posted pic's of their CB 2012; he liked it for nostalgic reasons which is fine because he had thought it through.
There are some colors that look nice at first, but you have to think whether you'd want that same color 4 years down the road. To me, this isn't striking enough for a Vette's sharp lines.

But then again...I 'rejected' JSB when it first came out as too female oriented...now I love the color and am now searching for a low mile garge queen coupe in JSB (I wanna start mod'ing the TORCH RED (rules) GS and need a daily driver).
And in Nov 04 I bought a left over 04 C5 instead of the new "ugly" 05 C6. I've now owned 2 C5's and 2 C6's.....so much for 'ugly' but to throw fuel on the fire the C6's were an 06 Z06 and now an 11 GS-both wide bodies....but as noted above looking for a C6 standard coupe....hmmm that would give the C6 generation a 3 to 2 lead over the C5. Attitudes and perceptions change.

I don't care for the color on the Corvette. I'm staying out of the masculine / feminine debate but I just don't like the color. Having said that, I saw a nicely shined Carlisle Blue ZR1 at the Seattle auto show last weekend. I admit that I didn't dislike it as much as I thought I would although I still didn't like it. That's the nicest thing I can say about it.

Hmmm... I have a C6 Corvette Grand Sport....kind of masculine. It's black. Have a little Mazda 3 that I drive to work every day. Kind of not masculine but it drives real nice. Also have a big brute Ford F150 Supercrew 4x4 too...pretty butch. I'm just about all over the place... Hmmm... The last time I saw myself naked I appeared to be a man and that's about as real as I know. And I would absolutely take a Carlile Blue Vette and drive it anywhere I wanted without shame. If I had my choice it would be a GS, white stripes, chrome wheels and maybe the gray interior even though I really don't like black carpet AT ALL. I think that would be one bad looking ******-trucker of a Corvette!

Have you seen it in person? I have not.
If YOU like it, and get a good price, do it. It will be a relatively rare car.
I have heard they look good in person. I wouldn't be afraid to drive one.

Hmmm. I can drive Carlisle Blue, but it's gotta have yellow brakes !
