Default Question on what you have seen for pricing.

Do you think finding a decent mile 2008+ 6 Speed convertible for around $28k is possible?

I know it would be hard, but buying my Z06 took eight months, where my convertible start to finish was a week.

Have you guys seen any sell for that?

I'm debating maybe trading the 02 vert for a C6 but $28k is about my cap, anything more than that and it is going to hinder my ability to buy a C7.

Thoughts?

unless it has a lot of miles, i don't see that happening....low mileage 2007 verts are going for 35k plus.

I found a 6 speed 2006 which is essentially the same as an 07 for $27,000 with 44k miles.

I could drive down and buy that car today, but my wife is my little angel and devil asking me what I "Really" want.

This is just one of the many ideas I'm throwing around right now, but I figured an 08+ which is what I would want would be a stretch even at $30k.

Thanks for the reply.

Lowest i've seen any '08 vert was about $38,000+. Most are selling for the low to mid $40's. '07 verts are low $30's for a higher mileage 3LT or lower mileage 1LT and mid to high $30's for a 3LT. Good Luck.

This 06 was a 1LT.

Is there a difference between 06 and 07 I'm not thinking of that would cause such a price disparity between an 07 and 06 model?

I know 05s sell for nothing all day long, but most issues like steering wheel, rear end, etc. all changed for MY 2006 correct?

I just would want an LS3 over an LS2 because they take much better to mods, and I'm a modder, not a stocker. Thank you for the reply.

Sounds like you'll be driving the 02' for a while longer.

Yeah I'm also throwing around the idea of adding another car to make up the difference from the 02 to the 06 I found.

Looking at some C3s and some early 70s camaros, firebirds, lemans, chevelles, etc.

We'll see, but I figured it would be a stretch on an LS3 C6. Thank everyone for the replies.

I don't think there are any major differences between the '06 and '07, most likely the '06 that you are looking at is $27k because it's a 1LT, probably would be selling for $30k+ if 3LT. Vette's improve every year. The '05 had some issues, but there are plenty of '05 owners on here that have had little to no problems. Just remember the 5 year/100,000 mile warranty has expired on the '05 and '06 so if you decide on one and it's a lemon, it could cost you a lot more in the long run than a newer model. 2008 vettes and higher have really held there value as there were much fewer made the last several years during the recession. Even 2007 models which was one of the higher production years of the C6 have not dropped much in the past year.

I got my 2008 a few months ago. Not a mark on it. Z51, low mileage, MTW, hardtop, 6 speed, LT2 trim, $32500. I thought I got a fair deal.
