Default How long di you wait for your custom wheels to be made?

It will be 8 weeks on the 25th of this month, just wondering how long some of you waited for yours to be made?

CCW took 18 days from date of order to delivery at my tuner's shop. Custom forged aluminum wheels, mounted/balanced on new tires w/ TPMs.

My CCW's took 6 weeks. Apparently some companies make them in "batches" when they have enough orders.

took about 5 weeks - custom made from Modulare Forged Wheels - they are local here in DFW (Southlake). Wheels are awesome - 20s with Nitto Invo 345s on back and 285s on front

Thanks guys! I guess I feel a little better.

NorthTXC6, my wheels are Forza forged 950's in satin black, very similar to yours.

You're right, the Forza 950 are almost exactly the same - really like the bevelled indentation on the spokes - very cool

HRE's received a few days ago - promised time was 8 weeks/ delivered as promised 8 weeks and a couple of days...Bought from Wheels boutique in Miami (supporting vendor) shipped to NY
I purchased aftermarket wheels for all my vehicles over the years and my experience is the more higher price the wheels, the longer the wait, what wheels are u getting?

Most brands are typically 6-8 weeks. Some brands recently have been doing them in 4-5 weeks. Then, there are the unfortunate ones that go 10-12 weeks sometimes.

7 to 9 weeks with three sets of HRE's purchased at different times.

All are excellent.

A couple of years ago my friend here in the Corvette Club ordered a standard wheel set right out of the magazine. All he really wanted were the Barrels to be chromed all the way thru to the rear. I thought that was a pretty simple request. The wheels never arrived as ordered. After about 4 full sets going back and forth the deal was cancelled and he went and bought what he wanted elsewhere the next year. This back and forth thing took up the whole season. Later we were told at one of the big car shows that when special ordering this gets to be a problem more times than anyone will want to admit. I am guessing that if we all spoke English many of these problems would not be happening...

Are you talking about one piece wheels? How do you chrome just a portion of the wheel? I can see chroming the entire wheel and then powder coating what you do not want to be chrome.
Any ifo on this?

These were 1 piece. As I said these were pretty much standard wheels from a magazine. They just could never get the order correct.Again, I thought his was a pretty simple request. In reading this Forum for years it appears the OEM wheels get fully chromed like my friend wanted. I really dont see where there should have ever been a problem...

HRE's......4 weeks
I-Forged...6 weeks
CCW's......10 days
360 Forged....gave up after 8 months But in all fairness,I hear their ship has been righted. My order was way back when they first appeared here & got overwhelmed.
