New 2011 disaster.....What do I do?????
I noticed today that my new CRM front fender is a different shade of color. Here is a few pics of the car in the daylight. I picked it up last night and didn't notice the color difference on the fender. Also front bumper cover is not flush with fender. Going to dealer tomorrow, not sure what to do, it has a whole 300 miles on it. I think I want my old car back,is there any way to stop this sale? Wow, great quality control. Oh, grinding noise in transmission also. I'm sick to my stomach.
On a side note, thanks Pat and Carol for dinner and the tour of the largest ball of twine in the world. We enjoyed seeing you two today, it was the one bright spot of the day.

Wonder if it was damaged in transit ? Chit do happen !

I would wonder if there was transit damage that the dealer repaired. It looks like the car was panel painted and not blended into the door. Warranty typically does not pay for the blending of panels. I would ask to see if any transit damage claims were made. I cant see it leaving Bowling Green looking like that.

Call the dealer and demand a new car. If they push back, send pics to GM. Stop putting miles on and have a body shop confirm paint and document date - so an arbitrator would know u didn't do it! Sorry bro

I would go in and talk to the general manager, if you are nice about it they will typically work with you. I would try to switch to a different car without paintwork. Do not wait though, once title gets processed and taxes are paid this becomes very tough. I really doubt they will let you out of the deal completely but they just need to make it right with you.

the front bumper cover disparity is common on C6's from BG
I'm not saying it's OK, just see it quite often
that CRM mismatch is crazy!!! the fender is urethane and the door, SMC, but I would speculate damage somewhere prior to delivery as others have said

I believe the color thing is just your eyes playing tricks and the angle of the sun. Even my car looks like that and so have other friends cars the were challengers.
Now the grinding noise...I would for sure take it back and just tell them you want your car back and see what they say.
What a bummer !

I am assuming you bought this car new...
Every state as a damage disclosure law... But the amount of damage where the dealer must disclose damage varies by state... First thing you should do is do a search on line and find out the state law.. Chances are a replaced or even a painted fender must be disclosed... If the dealer failed to follow the law he has a BIG problem.. And I assume will be HAPPY to replace the car...
If the damage is below the disclosure threshold, then it's a customer service issue between you and your dealer...

The fender has obviously been repainted and the dealer should have told you about the damage if it happened while in his possession. If it happened with gm, dealer needs to get regional rep involved. I would not keep this car or agree to a repaint. Tranny noise would make me even more suspicious.

My 2011 front bumper cover looks just like that with the addition of the hood weatherstripping not installed right on one side...
I have the new molding but haven't had ***** enough to make an appointment at body shop yet...even though I have the dealer go ahead...
I'm thinking of trying to fix it myself...

Wow. Get up to the dealer early. Demand satisfaction. Tell the manager that a quarter million CF members are watching their response to these issues!
Best of luck, Randy.
