I just built one out with carbon ceramics and it stickered $96,000.
What am I missing here? I'm not as up on C6s as I am on C5s, but the carbon ceramics tipped me off. I originally thought maybe it was a carbon or z07 edition, but couldn't remember if they only came in blue that way.
I'm waiting for a C7...I'm waiting for a C7...

"The Wednesday morning announcement that Chevrolet would be offering a higher performance version of the Z06 trimline clad with a handful of carbon fiber, ZR1-designed goodies and appropriately named the Z06 Carbon edition quickly swept through the media. The 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon takes some of the handling items like the huge carbon ceramic brake setup and the Magnetic Selective Ride Control from the ZR1, helping to improve the already awesome Z06. What most people seemed to ignore from this morning’s press release was the news of the new Z07 and CFZ packages.
Since well before the ZR1 was unveiling, the internet has been abuzz with rumors of a higher performance Corvette wearing the Z07 name and it isn’t an exciting new version of the Z06, the Z07 package does offer a vast improvement over the standard Corvette Z06. The Z07 package is available on all 2011 Z06 models, and this adds all of the functional improvements found on the Z06 Carbon. This begins with the enhanced cooling system, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, the massive carbon ceramic brake setup including rotors, pads and calipers and finally the 19 and 20 inch wheel setup offered for the Z06 Carbon (the Z06 Carbon comes with black wheels, those same wheels in the Z07 package are Gray). In short, the Z07 package affords your 2011 Z06 to handle as well as the 2011 Z06 Carbon without the body upgrades.
The other new package announced this morning is the Corvette CFZ package. CFZ includes a variety of the carbon fiber body bits from the Z06 Carbon including the front lower splitter, the local rocker panels and the lightweight roof panel. CFZ also includes the body colored rear spoiler found on the Z06 Carbon and the ZR1. This package is available on the 2011 Z06 models and the Z07 package it not required but it can be coupled with the high performance handling package to your 2011 Corvette Z06.
Click here for more information on the new packages courtesy of CorvetteForums.com and check with your local Chevrolet dealership for more information on the 2011 Corvette. Check out the gallery below for a look at the 2011 Z06 Carbon and a closer look at the carbon ceramic brake setup of the ZR1 and stay tuned to the Detroit Autos Examiner for all of your news about Detroit’s Big Three!

That car probably listed for around 90k if I recall. With 3LZ and the carbon package it's around $98 I think.
Right now, with the discounts I can get - but not including my GM card, I can buy a 2011 Z06 for about $16K off of MSRP. That means I can buy a brand new 2011 like that for lets say $74k. I actually have enough on my GM card to get another $3K off that. So to me, $67 is a fair price, but not a great price. If the price was any higher there is no way I'd buy it used if I can buy a new one for let's say $5,000 more. I actually think I can get a 2012 comparably equipped for close to $70k.
That's how I look at used prices.

I just stopped by Paradise today. They have a millenium edition ZR-1 for $130k and it caused their $100k Carbon Z06 to get bumped outside.
It makes the $50-60k I'm going to spend on a C7 look like chump change

Thats why I used numbers without my card earnings first. Even without my card I can get fairly close to those numbers on an '11. People need to do a lot of homework - there are a number of incentives on 11s and even 12's.

I'll probably mount it in front of the air dam off to side or something

we got cited out here in L.A. for no front tag so we went with the top flight one with the color matched border. We hated to do it, but once it was mounted, it is integrated enough that it doesn't bother me at all. even follows the lines because you bend it slightly in the middle.
