With dealers parking lots still full of 2011 Vettes, they are trying to keep it a secret that they are all now obsolete models.

They called me the other day and told me that it would be later next week.......................:lo l:

How the heck are we supposed to know? They can't even tell people when their cars will be built

Last year they didn't do it until October for 2011's. I e-mailed them and they were clueless. I said the 2011 Corvettes have been out since July when are you going to update your site? The answer I got was other Chevy models aren't out yet.

Unfortunately I don’t have an exact date but my guess would be once dealerships start getting 2012 models. It generally takes about 6-8 weeks for vehicles to arrive at dealerships after the start of production which was June 20th.

Thanks,

As usual CF dealers will post all the info, CF members will buy new 2012's and sometime later GM will update their web site.

It's a strange business model, but it seems to work. Folks continue to find way to get the info they need albeit not directly from the manufacture.

They are to busy selling Volts to be worried about selling anything else, especially Corvettes.

They have the 2012 Volt on their website.

If that is what they are doing they are not doing very well with that either, only 125 Volts sold in July and over 500 sitting at the dealers:

I called about the Cadillac SRX, and they said October. How stupid. I told them I was shopping SRX, Audi Q5 or Lincoln MXX and they didn't seem to care.

Okay, I should have said "They are to busy trying to sell Volts......."

Either way, it's difficult to project sarcasm through my keyboard.

The point is they have taken the time to update their website to incorporate the 2012 Volt, while ignoring the rest of their lineup. I wonder why? Could it have something to do with politics?

I saw a Volt on the road today. I think one reason they aren't selling to well is because they are fuuuuugggly!!! I thought it looked OK (bland?) in the pictures I saw, but it really is pretty hideous looking in person.

The 2012's ARE on the site. First, select the 2011 model, then scroll down and you will see a link for the 2012's. You can then "build your own".

You can also use the search box and type in '2012 corvette' and the options will pop up. It does not accurately show the new 2LT package as having Bose sound and navi, but the pricing seems accurate.

Yes, it was there on a sub-page, but now it's the front page and with full info. The sub-page really ddin't have much other than the updated msrp and the build your own function.

They still don't have all of the models on the build your own yet for 2012. I wonder if they know they are losing money partly due to this? Worse, I was trying to do a build your own then follow up with dealer inventory for a 2012 GM product. In this case, the build your own for this 2012 car was there but the dealer inventory search showed only 2011's....lame.
