Default 2006 Z06 Rear End Chatter TSB

I recently bought a 2006 Z06 with 30k on it. I have noticed a chattering noise from the rear end while making turns at low speeds in parking lots, etc. I found a Technical Service Bulletin (09-04-20-001D OCT 13 Drivetrain - Tire Chatter, Rear Differential Chatter) that refers to the same noise I am hearing. Does anyone have a copy of the actual TSB they can share?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Try googling the exact tsb number, in quotes. The recognized fix though is to replace the rear end oil with DEXRON LS, available at dealers or online. Mine was done on warranty years ago and has been quiet ever since.

Thanks for the quick reply....hopefully it will fix mine also. Does the dealer cover TSB repair if your warranty is expired?

Fixed mine too. The oil is GM DEXRON LS Gear Oil 75W-90, part # 88862624. It contains a limited slip friction modifier to prevent the LS clutches from sticking and causing the clunk you hear. I bought it on line for a much cheaper price than the dealerships offered.

Good info...I didn't remember the part number.
