Looks fantastic! The halo bar needs to go away on the Corvette. It has been around way too long. They finally got rid of the pop up headlights and this should be next.
Any progress on that hood you had a sketch of with the vents on the sides? Is that still going on this one?
I think the Corvette is the only 2 door car made that does not have the rear side glass. Seen the new 458 Ferrari? Pretty Sure they where not copying the mustang either.

Looks good! How is head room?
What about structural integrity now that the halo is gone? in other words torsional flex is increased without the box structure the halo provides.
I am curious, has a roll cage been considered or is it in the works? It would really give back what little rollover protection the car had and may tighten up the chassis some.
Not knocking it, as it looks great, just curious.

The body was designed first and then we did all the structure work under it.

As for the hood, I need to finish one project at a time before I can start that.

I can't because of manufacturing and how it alll goes together. If you look at cars like Aston Martin they have the same parting lines. i figure if it works for them then it works for us. They build some beautiful cars.

And this is the only redesign of a Vette that I have ever liked. This car is what I have in my head when I think about what a Vette should look like!

I'd love to come by your shop while I'm in town early next week, but it doesn't look like there will be an opportunity. I'd love to see that car. Maybe somebody in Texas will buy it!

being chopped 10" and a working convertible top. Then we decided to take a different approach and change the roof line of the Corvette. I feel that the Corvette roof line is so outdated.

The first design was suppose to be a Speedster with the windshield

Are you planning on marketing this new roof design along with your other body panels? Or is this just for show?
I agree that the C6 roof line may not be as stylish as some and could use some updating. But, it is somewhat of a Corvette signature style element and a key structural addition. Hopefully the C7 will be an even better version of the Corvette and not just a copy of other sports car designs. We'll see.
I look forward to seeing the completed vehicle.
