It finally happened
We got up at 3am Saturday morning so we could get to Casper wyo. From Denver in time to register for their car show. Got in our 2006 vert to head out. DEAD BATTERY! No indication what so ever that it was on it's last leg. It was the original battery so deep in side I knew it was living on borrowed time. The DIC read 13.9 volts and all the lights looked good but when I hit the start button everything went black. When things came back on the DIC said 9.1 volts and slowly gained until it once again read 13.9. I jumped it but had to leave it jumped for about 5min. before it had enough to start the car. After the car started things were somewhat strange for awhile. I was getting strange messages such as trunk open or door open etc. By the time we got Cheyene Wyo. (about 100 miles) we showed 14.7 volts and everything was working great. We had the bat checked at Casper. While it showed 14.7 volts, it had almost no crank amps. New battery installed life is good. Oh, we won 1st place in the C6 cat, this made the problems all seem minor.

Not really, fuel rail covers to match color of car, color matched interior trim. BB 4" exhaust, just a few basics. Autogeek sold me a product that makes Monterey Red pop! The car has 36k but looks better than new.

By the way racer, we get up your way once in a while. We are from northern Idaho and a few friends in Missoula we visit. We go right through you neighborhood on the way up. Next time we head up there I will let ya know. Lunch is on me.

Congrats on the win. Won't be long for me, I guess, before I have to break down and get a new battery!
