Is it the wax/sealer or the clear coat ??????
I was sitting in the garage reading the forum after washing the Vette and my truck and busted out laughing. Everyone posts the great shine they get from all the various waxes and sealers and argues which is the best. These are some pics of my truck. It had not been washed or waxed since last spring. It is a DD that never gets garaged, gets parked anywhere and gets pretty much neglected since I have the Vette.I think I used NXT on it last spring. I kinda think a great shine has more to do with the clear coat than anything else. To keep this C6 related you can see my car in the reflection.

What I like about 90%* of the threads, someone posts "look at my Zaino shine" (I will use Zaino, you put in what ever wax/sealant/polish you want) and all the fellow Zainoists (I use Zainoists, you use whatever "ists" you want) say "Yea, WOW, OOH, AAH, Zaino (I use Zaino, you use whatever you feel is correct) is number one, it is the only one" and in reality, it looks no better than some Vette that just got sold and had a quick wash 'n wipe waiting for it's new owner.
The other 5%* Camera, lighting, photshopping.
The final 5%* = great shine.
*These are internet %, they can vary anywhere from .05%-63%. Your results may vary.

Thats why I had to laugh. I wax my Vette probably once a week and I just washed my truck today for the first time this summer and it shines as good as the Vette.

don't get me started on the orange peel rant, i've found foreign material specks in the paint and excessive clear coat drip on the rear quarter panels just in front of the rear wheels.
Fast car, yes, quality paint finish, no...
but it is a mass produced auto, so, oh well....

I have plenty of orange peel in mine, and some material(dust?), in the pain in two spots as well. Nice car, but GM's paint quality isn't the best. You would think for the price that they could do better.

I agree that neither one product is better. I use turtle wax and can get the same shine. Most of the reflection comes from a good camera taking the picture. Here is mine at a car show. Sure didn't look that nice in person, but the camera made it look great.
