NPP adjustable collar
You can buy these at Grainger ... 5mm split collar in black about $8.50 each plus shipping . I paid $ 7.77 each , and there is a Grainger 2 miles from my house . I am a retired GM employee and they gave me their discount . They work GREAT !

I got this idea from another Forum member, can't remember who. Take one of those "speed nuts" that you see used on dash & upholstery fasteners that use a sheet metal/plastic coarse thread screw (a flat, folded double, spring steel nut) from any hardware store & force it over the edge of the exhaust flap, both sides of course, holds them open slightly for the perfect sound. You can adjust them outward for louder or inward for softer.

I did a search of this forum and on Google for info on how to install a stop collar of some kind on the NPP valve linkage so the valves can be adjusted to always be slightly open for a little better sound.
I pulled the fuse on the NPP, but that opens the valves fully, and it's too loud for me ... I just want the valves slightly open.
Anyone here know what people have used to accomplish this ... a photo would be even better.
Thank's

Maxx, What are you referring too? What does it do for the NPP?

Here's how I did it (some photos are from left side and some are from right side - sorry for any confusion).
pry with a screwdriver to pop off the linkage
remove vacuum line and three nuts
use a 5/16 socket
hold nut while unscrewing shaft end
shaft diameter is 5mm (almost .2")
two 3/16" I.D. shaft collars
I couldn't find my 13/64" bit so used 7/32" to drill out collars
snug up the set screw so it can still slide when you push in the shaft to the desired flap position
tighten nut against shaft end with opening down (parallel to bottom studs)
reinstall and set

If I could find some sort of tiny clamp that could mount along the edge, I think it could be positioned as a stop for the valve lever. It would be a very simple alternative. But I'm going to go looking for the shaft collars, because I'm sure I can find them.
Thank you for the pics and instructions.

With a bolt a couple of large diameter washers you can hold them partly open. About 1/4" sounds good to me with no drone.
Here's what I did (temporairly) with a clamp and wingnut from my junk Drawer, works the opposite of the collars in that it sets the maximum sound, applying vaccum shuts it off. No vacuum connection necessary if you want to run this way all the time.
