Default Anyone just use spray wax?

Does anyone just use a spray wax instead of all the labor intensive polishes and waxes like Zaino/Rejex etc. etc.:hi

I have mixing Meguairs detail spray and spray quick wax for wiping the car down after a wash to get it completely dry.

Seems like it works good to me

Yes, I use Optimum Car Wax. It's very quick and easy to apply.

Between Optimum No-Rinse Wash & Shine and Optimum Car Wax I can wash and wax my vette in an hour.

For what its worth, I was pointed to those products by a friend of mine who is a full time professional detailer. They also make a sealant they call Opti-Seal if you're looking for a sealant.

I too would suggest a wax session 2-3 times per year as possible. Inbetween wash frequently and use a spray wax (like our Souveran Spray Wax) or a good quick detail spray booster to keep the finish up. Alot like Finishkare 425 for this and it includes an anti-static ingredient too.

Only on the front bumper after I wash the car at the DIY wand car wash to get rid of the dead bugs. Helps keep those bugs that hit it at 75-78 mph from sticking.

If you like to apply a spray-on / wipe-off gloss enhancer such as Zaino Z6 between wax jobs, this stuff is fantastic. I like it just as much as Zaino Z6, and is available at any Harley Davidson dealership.

Give it a try sometime.

I usually give it a spritz with Turtlewax Ice Spray Wax. It doesn't leave any white spots when it dries, and it's a very easy product to wipe off. It leaves a good shine and durable beading.

I always used Meguires Ultimate spray detailer every time I drive. now I been using Turtel wax Black for black cars. Only use the spot wax on small areas in between waxing.

I wax my 09 2-3 times between April-Oct. Usually wax before stored for winter.I don't have the confidence in myself or maybe the patience to use something like Zaino, so I use Maguires NXT.I use Turtle wax spray on wax and dry after each wash. I wash car once a week.It seems to help, but who knows.I drive car to work everyday I can put the top down.It seems to make it easier to get car clean.I would like to see my car after it has been Zainoed. If I only lived next door to Wolfdog!!

Use what you feel works best for you; that has always been my take. I havetried various sprays and liquids but always gravitate back to "elbow grease" and paste. My favorite is Collinite paste and Rejex on the wheels and leading surfaces.

P.S. Learned about Rejex here on the forum. AMAZING stuff!

The Zaino clear seal spray works great for me. I clay'd where needed, then waxed before applying it.

I bought several jugs of RainX foaming car wash when they were on sale. Tried it on one of our cars , it was great. On the vette, wax at begining of spring with Rejex and from now on will use RainX for washing the Vette until it is time to put away for winter. Try both Rejex and RainX foaming car wash!! You will be pleased with the shine and feel of the finish!!

If your car is smooth and hand waxed most of the time, the spray detailers are excellent between waxes regardless of the brand.

It really depends on how you drive and store your car. I personally have only 5,600 no weather miles on my 4.5 year car. It's been washed 4 times and is obviously garage kept. Waxed about 2-3 times as it makes no sense (for me) to keep putting wax on a finish that does not see contamination. That should be your benchmark. Like Wolfdog stated those types of products don't really give added "protection" just cosmetic "bling". Like me, if you don't need the protection you can use these products for what they are. If you drive your car in the real world you should put some regular protection on the clear. Sometimes the easy way is not always the best way. Good luck!

I go with the Klasse system with quick detailer for clean ups followed by a spray wax.

Haven't washed the car now in over 10 months. Admittedly the wheel barrels need some work, but with comp grey wheels it is hard to see unless your on your knees.

Nothing sticks, not a DD and garage kept.

Like Wold Dogs said spray wax just does not last, but for touch ups it's good.

If you want protection a sealant is the way to go as a base.

Otherwise you can wax bi monthly.

With the Velocity Yellow color the amount of dirt and the film left on the paint after a couple days of driving to work and back, I would be scared not to wash it. Especially the back of the car and the lower parts of the car. No way I would "dry wash" it or whatever youse guys call it where you just wipe it down with a detailer

I recently sold a musclecar with a show car paint job on it(Dupont Centari), it was a dark blue color. Only washed it about twice a year. I just wiped it down with detailer. But now, with this color on the vette. That will never happen because I can see the trash that is on the paint even after a short drive...

On the Vette, so far I have used Meguairs NXT and then the Meguairs spray "Ultimate Quick Wax". The spray seems to work pretty well

I may try some Zaino sprayy once this is used up.
