You have to be friggin kidding me...
After shopping for a couple months for my next new car, I bought my 2011 GS in June. I researched prices, discounts and offers. I've been a GM Card holder for about 10 years and occasionally get the private offers they send. I called and checked with both GM and GM card before I purchased to make sure I didn't miss any mailings.
Sure enough, today I get a damn $2000 top-off offer from GM card.
I hadn't used my GM card much lately so I was only able to redeem $184 instead of $2000.
I wish there was some rhyme or reason behind the mailings or they could tell you if you're on the list to get one.
I guess it's only money, right?

I understand the frustration, but you make decisions on the basis of the best information you have at the time. Suppose you waited for the offer, but never got one? It could just as easily have happened that way. So don't let that stop from fully enjoying your new GS.

Want a bitter sweet story....here you go. I bought a 08 base C6 with 5000mi on it for $36000 only to find out a month later I get a discount on GM cars at my new job. So for ***** and giggles, I emailed a sales rep and got a quote on a fully loaded 2011 Torch Red GS. With my discount and other GM rebates, I could of got $9500 off. Had I had that $36k back and traded in my other car, I could of got it and it be paid off! Like you said, its only money! Haha!
I am thinking of selling both the Vette and my 2008 Accord and getting the new Camaro ZL1 coming out!

Same here............ If it makes you feel any better I was putting on my BBQ grill cover Friday and a bat was hiding under it and flew out of it. I then noticed a scratch on my finger. Well Saturday I had seven rabies shots. One in each leg, three in the a$$, one in the arm and one in the finger. I get to go back for round two today

I swear GM does this intentionally.
I own 4 vehicles, so I’m usually trading at least 1 in any given year or so and pretty much like clockwork I get a GM Card top-off offer within a month or 2 after buying a new vehicle. I think it’s happened 3 or 4 times over the last several years.
It doesn’t really matter to me since they won’t let me use GM points with Supplier Pricing anymore and now that they killed Hummer, 1 of my GM vehicles has turned into a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee (don’t think GM will be rewarding me for that).

I usually have about the same luck re the timing of the GM card bonuses, but last year it finally worked for buying my '10 CTS. (Must have been a mistake on their part!) I also received the $2,000 top off one in the mail yesterday; recently it's been $3,000, not sure why less this time. Even though not planning to trade anything within the valid dates I always hang on to them just in case a vehicle gets stolen/wrecked and I need to replace it during that period.

You did the best you could at the time. I understand how you feel but don't beat yourself up over it...it's fate. When it comes to bad timing I can think of worse things. Enjoy your wonderful Corvette!

I'm in the process of buying a 2011 coupe from an out of town dealer. yesterday morning I gave the dealer my GM card number so they could add my small ($300.00) reward points to the deal. Got the usuall E mail with congrats from the GM card on using my points for the purchase of a new Corvette...
Later in the day, I get my mail. You guessed it.... A "top off" certificate for $2000.00 was in the mailbox! I quickly called the dealer befor they closed. The sales gal called the GM card and had my previous rewards redemption reversed and the new "Topped off" figure added to the deal. I even got a call from the GM card telling me that they adjusted my rewards amount.
Must have been my lucky day. I think I will go out and buy a lotto ticket!
