Default New C6 owner! Will post pics!

Well guys and girls my 2011 TR grand sport coupe came mon! I built a ramp on my driveway and I can pull in with no issues whatsoever (even wiithout ramp) However no matter what I do when im backing out my under body debris deflector scrapes for about 1 inch..not hard and it almost doesnt even scuff it but it does it everytime..however the actual bumper clears by about 2 inches.

Inside the car it sounds worse than it actually is I was told by someone watching me back out but it makes me cringe everytime..if there is no reason to worry and if its not hurting anything then I will not worry because this is only temporary.

My father and I wanted to bond more and do something together so we purchased this. My parents are building a house with a corvette friendly driveway and a new big *** garage for it. Should I just stick it out or pay for a storage unit? The storage place is 2 mins away and I can get in and out fine ( might have to wait for a unit tho )

Pics coming next!

The pics that are very small were taken by a friend and then he tagged me in them on my facebook wall..not sure how to blow them up and save them.

Very nice. As for the scraping when backing out, I find that if I back out real slow and at a severe angle it does not scrape at all.

Ive tried that but ill try again. Its only barely scraping the debris deflector. Its not actually hitting the bumper. Not sure if that would cause the bumper to flex and become damaged considering the debris deflector thing is rubber and it flexes anyway?

The only thing you are doing is scratching the deflector, no damage to the bumper or anything else. As long as you take it easy and it as slight as you say I would not worry about it.

Congratulations on a great looking car.

As far as the scrapping goes we all experience it. After a while the deflector will wear down where it will not scrape. I know several that have removed the deflector or trimmed it to eliminate the scrapping with no issues.

My curb and my bank's curb are tough to pass through without scraping. I saw a plastic curb leveling-filling device online but it was $600 or so, and it only came in red! A concrete contractor said I can't do anything as it is in the easement zone (%$#@ - it!). So what can we do? Lifting acuators on the shocks-frame??????

They're made to scrape.

You can minimize the scraping by pulling in and out on an angle. Works for me.
