New Vette Owner...quick question
Hey guys, just picked up a Silver '05 Vette. Looking to put in an appradio. Currently it has a JVC aftermarket one installed. All the warnings and noises seem to be working fine on the car. My question is, would I still need the harness, or does it likely already have what I need?
Just trying to figure it out before I go order all the parts I will need. Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

If you have an aftermarket radio already, you wont need anything. The adapter harness is already there, you will just need to splice the Pioneer harness into it. Radio is still a little rough around the edges but the upside is well worth it. Pandora is all I ever use.
If you get the AppRadio, be sure to check out the app DashCommand; it allows you to connect to a OBDII scanner and check error codes etc.

Thanks for the help.

Ok, got the AppRadio installed. Everything seems ok, except for the fact that my external trunk release above the license plate no longer functions. It works from the remote and from the release inside the car under the steering wheel still, though.

Thanks for the help.

I am waiting for CES to see if they release a Droid compatiable app radio... It is a double edge sword for me, I have all my music on an iPod, yet I prefer a Droid for my cell... So I doubt they will release a Droid app radio yet will accept iPod interface...

The new KEnwood info I just posted has some Android freindly firmware with it.
I will be attending CES as well and will be looking for more Android friendly options as well
