71 and I wouldn't settle for anything less than a manual transmission in a sports car with an internal combustion engine if the only option is a torque converter automatic.

Dont think age has much to do with it, unless your knees are going or something. Guess it just depends on what your used to. I have several cars, some auto, some manual, and just hop behind the wheel and drive them without giving it a thought. Know several guys in their 60's driving manuals. One has a 65' 396 Vette with manual steering and brakes. Lots of older bikers out there too, and these are even more difficult to operate.

55 and piloting a 650rwhp C6 with M6. Life's too short to not do your own shifting. Might be different if I had to get around in city traffic with a bad left knee.....Thankfully not the case.

I too am thankful that the knees work well. 68, well on my way to 69 (Uh, where did the time go?) and only a "stick" for me. I just don't see it any other way.

70, good health, no bad anything and not fat, maybe a lb or 2 over weight! Only automatic Corvette I have owned was a '54 back in high school in 1957! Girl friend is 5'0", weighs 100 lbs and can drive my C6 with ease. I once offered her the opportunity to take my ZR-1 down the 1/4 track at Carlsbad, but she declined.....

Will be 69 in a couple of weeks and still shifting my 56 and my 09 Z06.

64, and have only had one automatic in my life, for a few years back in the 1980's when I had to commute to downtown Houston for a few years. My three Vettes were, and current CTSV is MN6. Left knee still hanging in there. If/when it ever goes kerflooey and takes MN6 with it, then I'll know I'm old.
