Default Crossed flag floormats don't fit properly

Is it like this for everybody?

The 2 rings are too far apart to fit the pegs properly and the mat itself sits on top of the seat rails.

They are genuine GM mats

sorry, but that's a return, if they don't fit you must re-ship ...

There is two different kinds for C6 corvette. Ones for push pins and one for hooks

17802477 – Cashmere W/C6 Logo - $105.46 push pin
19172507 – Cashmere W/C6 Logo - $95.80 hooks

HA, alright Johnny Cochran!

I didn't buy these, the dealer ordered them for me after a bad service experience. Therefore, I can't get a refund to buy a different brand or anything.

The only option would be to order this same mat and I would probably end up with the same thing.

Does anyone else have these GM 19172507 floor mats and do they all fit like this?

EDIT:

AHA! Wrong friggin mats! Man, what a horrible GM dealership experience. After all the crap with servicing my vette, they give me the wrong floormats after waiting weeks for them to come in! Then when I go to pick them up, my service advisor actually says to "Hey if you get a survey in the mail, you are going to take care of us, right- cuz that's how I get paid."

Just go back to your dealer and show them, that should be no sweat.

OR ... you could take a razor, cut the sub-mat and move the hooks over 1/2", right? I don't think them overlapping the seat-feet matters much.

I already had GM involved in this, and will probably call my rep in the morning.

I would take them back, speak to the service manager or general manager and give them the chance to rectify the situation.

Or just have them order you a set of Lloyds which fit perfectly for the correct year. The pin types on 06 and above fit but are a pain to get the pin in the hole.

I also have an early 2007. They used two different mats that year. The early productions were the pin type and the later ones had hooks. My mats have clear plastic tabs under the mat and no holes in the mat. the later ones had holes in the mats and the spacing between the holes is different as you can see in your picture. I think you may need the other mat.

Yup, easy mistake to make.
One would *think* a Chevrolet dealer parts dept would know there're two different styles, and one would be wrong if they did.

Had a very lousy experience recently with my dealer's service department. The SA said the same thing to me.

I did not respond to GM's survey a'tall, and THAT's how I get my pay-back.

Yep, I have my GM rep helping me get this taken care of. Thanks for the knowledge!

Something else that's dumb - when I opened up the plastic wrap on these Corvette mats, 2 tan Cadillac rear seat mats fell out from between them...

I have these too (LOYDS) in my 07 so I ordered the correct parts to make them fit like the factory mats. Otherwise they slide all over the place.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at your dealership. If you’d like to file a dealer complaint, you can always PM me so I can look into it further for you.

Thanks,

I'll deal with that outfit in my own way.
Thanks anyway Laura, you're a mensch.

Got the OTHER style GM mats today and yet another fail...

Sometimes you just can't catch a break! Not only are the grommets too far apart, but they don't snap in at all.

I will have the last laugh! Where are my pliers...

You crack me up.

You kick a gift horse in the mouth? You post blindly about a "bad service experience" and bitch about your dealer rather than handle the issue as you should: privately.

Do what I did. Buy your own frigging mats.

Maybe a Trojan Horse! This kind of stuff doesn't need to be handled privately. This is a FORUM- that's what we are here for.

You would be pretty damn upset too if you got jerked around for 23 days while trying to get your Corvette back from the dealer in the middle of summer, have to get GM involved to help (Thanks, Laura), then get your vette back with the alignment messed up- and then on top of that- they give you the wrong floormats!

Also, these weren't 'free'- I traded my new in-box regular Corvette floor mats for them.
