The trick could be "filling in" the front bumper scoop?

I believe GM did real good designing the C6. Most car models cannot survive 4 years without needing another refresh. The C6 will probably have around 10 model years and may still be a modern design when the C7 comes out.

From the "spy" photos and "artist renderings" I've seen of the C7, I'm not so sure it will be and improvement over the C6?

At least you had the good sense to change it back.

Im always surprised about the designs people come up with.
How many people did it take to say "this looks good," to actually have decided that product should go to market?
I love your Avatar pic. I wonder why..

Congrats for "fessing up!" Most who mod and don't like the results would never admit it. I like some of the mod hoods, but your car looks better with stock. Beautiful car. Glad to see the Corvette lines return.

Sometimes a modification just does not work....... no matter how hard we try to beat that round peg into the square hole

At least you realized it and were able to correct it. We all screw up from time to time that is why keyboards have a back space key

Even if the modified hood looked good, I still prefer stock. Nothing better to me then have a SC sleeper.

Yeah Mike, what did I do to that 66 to mess it up? That was a beautiful restored stock c2 that was in the shop every week. I didn't change a thing, I swear! wish I had. It might have run better

Very cool that you have the stones to admit (and post) that you made an error in judgement, and an expensive one at that.

All after market hoods look like crap. They look very "boy racer wannabe" or as someone else said, very "trailer park".
Looks great now!

Thanks! I started this thread because A; I was amazed a just how perfect the car really is and how quickly we can forget that sometimes. B;my supercharger is a Vortech and doesn't need an aftermarket hood to fit but for those who DO need one I wanted to show everyone that the lower the better, and warn anyone who likes that hood that Star Craft is capable of making a horrible product.

My point is: look at these 3 pix. The clean line of the Vette styling really can't be improved upon. I never really appreciated the hood until I didn't have it anymore.

Took the 2 new ones today after changing out the hood. I can sleep at night again
I told you to buy the MCM

maybe that hood would look good on a non Z06/GS, but the double scoops look idiotic, and make the car look like Franken-vette... the stock GS is such a beauty, let's never do that again!
