Default npp from an 09 c6 coupe onto an 08 c6 coupe. What is needed?

So iv went through the search here, tried to do some research on google and also pm'd many members but im getting mixed reviews and need the right answer. I bought an 09 npp exhaust and need to put it onto my 08 ls3 vette. As of now, i have the stock exhaust.
I know there not direct bolt on's and so some say all i need is the X-PIPE from an 09+ model. Other say i need to modify the exhaust pipe angles all together which is way expensive and others say just to cut and swap the exhausts at the neck. Id prefer the bolt on method and will do the cutting part just as a last resort.
So what is needed to get this 09 npp exhaust onto my 08 coupe? Thanx in advance for any advice given.

P.S.- i know i need the NPP in a box to make it work.

The mounting locations changed in 2009 so you will need to make modifications to the pipes and the muffler mounts to bolt them up. It is going to be easiest to simply have them cut and welded to your exisitng pipes.

The only bolt on you will find is a 2008 NPP.

I'd be happy to help with your NPP in a Box needs when the time comes.

I beg to differ Paul. I used an 09 X pipe and 09 NPP's in my 08. Direct bolt on. No Mods needed.

Well, being as how you actually did the mod, then all i need is the x pipe. My question now is, are the 2009 and 2010 x pipes the same? Thanx for the help.

to the text in red.

The 2009+ NPP pipes have a slightly different angle on one side than the 2008 pipes. But you can bolt on 2009+ NPPs on your 2008 IF you also install a 2009 X-pipe with it. Several people have done this. Your 2008 X-pipe is NOT the same as a 2009 X-pipe...that's why you need to track down a newer X-pipe.

Good news: I have an 09 x-pipe in good shape you can have for free. Just pay shipping.

Bad news: Shipping will run about $80 to NY.

Let me know!
