I am curious to see if any one has owned Vettes longer than I have.

You don't have to own one throughout. Just when did you buy your first one and that you have one now. I bought my first one in '57 (a '54) and I have an '09 currently. I didn't have one through out as I switched to other sports cars when Chevy emasculated the Vette.

So my life with Vettes has spaned 54 years. Anybody beat it.

I bought a '67 in '67, so I span a paltry 44 years, currently driving a 2006 coupe.

only about 3 years and I've already owned 3. Still have two, including my first one, a 2008 coupe.

bought a c4 as a beater to drive in the rain and loved it..I sold it off though to buy another nicer one.

My first was a '67 roadster, Sunflower Yellow with black top and interior, 4 speed, 327 300, posi, AM-FM radio and nothing else. What was yours?

I started with a red 64 air coupe in 1974 - - there was an ad in Car & Driver for a Corvette that read:

"Wanted a Corvette since you were a kid ?

You've waited long enough ! "

Thirty six years later- I'm on #10- a Precision Red `05.

I'm only on the first at 3 years so I guess I don't come close. If I'm still driving at 85 or so I'll beat your record (something to aim for).

Bought my first in '67.....a 67 roadster with 300 hp 4spd, side exhaust and both tops.....have had a Corvette on the roster ever since and currently have a 2010 6 spd coupe.

It gets in your blood after all those years.............

I come close at 52 years for me. My first Vette was a 1953 back in 1959 when I was in high school and have owned another 24 of them since then.

I ordered my first one from my local small town (Missouri) Chevy dealer at 21; a 1968 Corvette Bronze/Tobacco leather L68 (427 CID 400 HP tri power) 4 speed close ratio coupe. Sort of unique for its time as I ordered it with A/C, power steering, windows, and brakes, FM stereo, telescoping wheel, headrestraints and tinted glass. It took forever to get it built as it was the first one that dealer had ever sold (and they had been in business since 1913). Took delivery in September,'68. Nine vettes later, today I have a 2008 black coupe MN6.

My 1st was a 1974 silver coupe, bought new in 74, had 3 C5's and now a 06 C6. What next? Who knows.

...but have been in love with them since the '63 SWC appeared.

I'm nowhere close to some of you.

I bought my first one in 2000. It was an 86 Pace Car converbile. Since then I've had a 74 vert, an 04 coupe and currently an 07 vert.

I will always have a Vette!
