The 1LT gives u best bang for buck....~$40K

Once you go above $50, 60K u start to get close to Porsches, BMWs, used Z06, GT-R and #s doent make as much sense.

I am perfectly happy and content with my 1LT MN6 coupe with NPP, F55, chrome wheels and two tops. I never even think about any other electronics or gadgets or trim levels. I hardly even listen to the radio what with the good sounds coming out of the pipes. With that said, I might consider a Z06 if I had too, but again, stripped down would be fine with me.

Very happy with mine, but I would like to add the HUD at some point. I've considered it for about a year now......just haven't gotten around to it.
Otherwise I've done the z51 sways, DSVs padded console with matching blue stitching, cross-drilled Baer decelarotors, full carbon fiber console change, B&B Fusion exhaust with mild to wild remote control and a whole bunch of other (what I consider) tasteful mods.
Two-tone interior to match the console lid would be something I'd like to do in the near future as well.
That money thing just keeps getting in the way.

I'm on my third Corvette and the 1LT trim on my '06 coupe offers everything I really need on a car. The basic car has world class performance and that is what the car is about to me. My first two 'vettes were also no-frills base models, a convertible and a coupe.

YMMV.

I wanted a 3lt but the price was out of my range. I found a 1lt coupe for an awesome price that I just had to jump on it. The only mods i needed to make to have the perfect vette was nav+bluetooth system (Pioneer x930bt is awesome), aggressive mufflers (corsa or borla) and HUD installation (plenty of topics on how to do it or where to go on this forum for that). The coupe plus the mods above combined cost be half of what a 3lt would have cost me.

My advice, if you need some features that is possible to perform on an 1lt and is still way cheaper than buying a 3lt, go for it! Otherwise if the cost difference isn't much, go for a higher trim and less work.

The 1LT is to me the essence of a sports car.

I would have been more than satisfied with the 1LZ trim if I could have found one at the time . I "settled" for the 2 LZ as that was readily available.

Love my 1lt, would buy it again. I have F55, npp, CG headlamps, installed Kenwood Nav/DVD/back up cam. Im more interested in modding, on the short list is cf side skirts and splitter, zr1 rear spoiler, colores gauges...... I got bells & whistles on my other cars and use very little, but I like 'em to look good and sound good

I have a 2LT 2011 GS ... The only thing the 2LT doesn't have that I really want is the memory seats.

Everytime I get in the car after my wife has driven it, I have to re-adjust the seats back down and to the rear (I can't even get in the car with the seats all the way forward like she sets them to).

All that re-adjusting is probably going to burn out the motor in the seats anyway.

'07 1LT coupe here. I could do without many of the gadgets that come with the 1LT base car and certainly see no reason for 2LT or 3LT.

First of all, at least get an LS1, LT1's are SOOOOOO last decade! Hmm, so are the LS1's...

Second of all, yes I am so happy I have never had a 1LT, I'd go 8 LT if they offered it.

I really enjoy my CRM '10 1LT. I've spent a little money dressing it up with GS repro wheels, DS Vettes interior stuff, Magnaflow exhaust and a Steve Doten installed HUD and still only have less than $43K in it and I bought it brand new.. I have a few more things to do to make it right for me (Bilstein shocks, ZR1 sways and Z51 brakes) but then I'll have a car that will be just the way I want it for a whole lot less than a 3LT with stuff I would never use. So I am a believer in taking a base car and making it your own. Big plans down the road are a rear wide body and the Lingenfelter turbo hood, I love that hood.

I just recently bough a 2011 artic white 1sa (canadian) which is the same as the 1lt and im happy with it. ya sure the hud is cool and most likely will still purchase the kit. I got navi and the z51 package also, but why do i need heated seat or memory seats when im the only one who will ever drive it and its not driven in cold consitions so no need to heat my ***. I mean for being 24 and buying a brand new vette can't complain but my next will be a z06 or better that for sure.

Why do you not drive it in the cold , that is half of our already short driving season unless Canada bought some Caribbean Island I missed reading about?

99%

The fewer the frills, the more comfortable I am with a car (not so my wife ).

For example, since I am the only driver, I get no added value out of a power seat, just extra weight and complexity.

XM radio is not available here, so no value added with that, plus given the info here that many folks are unhappy with the factory stereos, why pay for them, when you are likely to swap them out?

Two-tone interior, not interested.

The HUD can be added.

I have options that I don't use now on my 1LT.

Many of my favorites were mid-60's cars that had no AC, no PS or PB, let alone intermittent wipers, auto 2-zone climate control, rear defroster, etc. Well, you get the idea.

Very happy with 1LT. I don't miss a thing with 1LT and I would have been glad to pay to NOT have the electronic climate control. I don't need the fluff...

This is in the eyes of the beholder, but I unloaded my beautiful 1lt, yellow, Z51,6sp, glass roof, cromes, for 2011 gs, 3lt. Sooooooo much better. Cash flow is the decision maker for most. I had the cash so made the change. Could trash the navi though.
