Will this work with the 8500? Also, does the stealth cord have that pin problem that makes it difficult to install as I've read on the Forum?

I am not sure about the problem your are referring too with the mirror tap. It goes right into the back of the mirror..

That mount looks different from the C6 Blendmount I got. Mine has a bigger piece that touches the windshield and has a foam insert there to reduce vibration.

I have this very same package on my '10 coupe with the short cord for the mirror power. Sweet system, no vibration, no rattles, no problems. If you like to cruise above the speed limit every now and then, this will save you ticket money I promise. I have had Escorts for 20+ years, this is the 1st Blendmount and it is a great combination.

Yes it will work with the 8500, all Escort mounts are the same except for the new IQ GPS.

Just installed my system and I'm the worst handyman ever!! Before I started I was worried but it was very easy and the pins went in straight forward. Also did the light seals but haven't tested them out.

Pretty sure he's referring to the seals that go around the tail lights. I have them on mine and love them. Another easy install.

That is the correct mount.....we have the wrong picture on our website of the C6 mount...I am having it corrected right now.

Yep the black rubber tail light seals. Easy to install and works well for that drip out of the lights. I did have to go fishing for the clip that the screw goes into but that's me!

This seems really sweet! How often is it necessary to access the buttons on the top of the RD? Will the RD memorize the last settings of those buttons?

Pretty infrequently....they stay at the same settings until changed...

In a vert, how hard is it to remove the detector when parking car with top down? So it's not stolen.

Very easy. Unplug power cord on RD, press lever and press button to remove RD. Only takes a few seconds. I've got the coupe but love the system that I got from this vendor. Good service too.

There are pictures on the site when you order....if you have a button in the lower middle of your mirror, then you have the autodimming mirror. When the button is on, the mirror dims automatically depending on lighting conditions.
