Prayer sent. God bless.
One of the guys I work with his son was injured two weeks ago in a gun fight. He is also serving USMC 3/9 Afganistan.

America's military medical transport system has improved very dramatically since the helicopter skid litter days of Viet Nam. Even the most serious cases can be stabilized in a field hospital, then airlifted to Landstuhl in under 24 hours or Walter Reed in 36 hours. Equally important, families can track them like FedEx packages all the way.

Done. Retired Army myself, with two years as a contractor in Afghanistan and just finished two more in Iraq. I'm constantly amazed at the drive and spirit of these kids after numerous deployments. Let's hope this will be the last time he'll get hurt and that all of his buddies are OK as well. Next time you speak to your son please give him a personal thanks from me.

Your son and all the fine young men and women who serve our great nation are true heroes and I salute them all. I know first hand of the sacrifices military families make and they all have my full support and admiration. God bless you, your Son and the United States of America.
