You're kidding right? People actually forget to latch the top? I'll have to do a search on that one so I can make note to watch out for them because they shouldn't drive.

Just traded my 07 Vert for a 2011 GS Vert yesterday and am impressed so far. Fourth Vette in 15 years and this is the nicest by far.

I love my 2011 GS Convertible, JSB/Cashmere First time at local cruise in of probably 15 Corvettes there steady stream of people wandered around it and lots of positive comments. Wanted a different color combination and it turned out to be 7th of 7 GS Converts in that color combo built in 2011!
Anyway, the wide body design is great, I would have ordered bigger engine if it was available in the convertible, but my "fun" cars have always been ragtops and overall it is a great car. Had to laugh at the expression on my kids (grown) faces when kicking in the NPP exhaust for first time.
Have left off the hash marks though, I kind of like them but not sure of what color would work with the cashmere top/interior/JSB.

I love my Torch Red GS Coupe. If you get the vert, you do NOT get the hand built Dry Sump Engine.

...and the top is so ugly when it is up.

I think it comes down to whether you like the convertible with the wide body look or not. I'm guessing since you're asking, you do. Based on my experience in my GS coupe, I'd say you won't be disappointed in the GS.
It's known to be slower but it is definitely not ugly........

When I grow up I want to have a car just like that in my garage...

I think the car looks great with the top up or down. The other factor I really like coming from a coupe is not having that big open area behind me.

If they are worried about how slow they are, I'd just get a GS Vert Callaway LOL - I have a Black on Black with Heritage Pkg silver interior - Love IT!
